    had the L322 booked in to get a couple of paint touch ups done on Thursday.. as i'm away a couple of days a week for work, I took it in on Tuesday, having run the P38 up over the weekend. drop the L322 off, get a lift back and go pick the P38 up. left it idling to get it warmed up, turn out...

    Started the P38 today as it will be getting used next week. Sat for a month. started first time. Suspension came up straight away. sounds good, tight revving nicely, ready for a run.

    the P38, the Cayenne and the L322 all have LPG so the spare wheel well is taken up with an LPG tank. the spares have spare wheel covers on them in the shed. if you keep the tyres out of the gutter where road detritus collects, watch where you park you'll rarely have a flat..oh and keep an eye...

    over the course of 3 P38's that's 6 rear calipers, over what 10 years, ive not experienced a seized caliper. each time excessive wear has been due to the slide pins. for the sake of £8 I change them each brake change along with bolts.. now seized rear calipers on the MX-5... that's another...

    L322 or L320 petrol or diesel

    I have a 4.2 SC with LPG and valve lube. bear in mind diagnostics will be very useful, there will be some things that will need attention. probably exhaust rear hub nuckles, maybe front arms, nothing insurmountable but if you need it as a DD bear in mind you'll have to consider things.

    Get new caliper slide pins and bolts and replace them. Often its not the caliper that has siezed but the slide pin corroded in. Clear out the old slider pin hoe with i think a 5mm hss drill bit.. *turned by hand* Its a simple job.

    Pick the letters off. 1200 grit wet and dry to get it smooth, 2000 grit wet and dry compound out. blow over with clearcoat or reapply new decals
