One thing I suspect with mine is that the small o ring which mounts between the master cylinder and the servo was leaking I think this would allow air into the vacuum side and degrade the performance. Its nice not to have to stand on the brakes to stop

The codes "tweak" the injectors and balance them out a bit, it's desirable to do it if you have changes the injectors for different ones because that's how they were designed, but you shouldn't notice a huge difference if not done. It's easy to do them with a nanocom and only takes a few...

That's a good choice, medium strength, don't want anything too strong, some of them are like welding the bolts. The TD5 bolts are a torque then stretch type.

I put some on my TD5 flywheel bolts, it can't hurt.

Could be the switch under the rubber, you might test its operation with a multi meter, you can get new ones easily

It can cause air in the system, which gives running problems, and is easily checked, just to eliminate one possible cause.

Just one thought, when you took the filter off did you remove the old sealing washer in the centre? They are known to stick to the housing and in the past people have popped the new one on without checking so then you have 2 washers and it stops the filter sealing correctly.

Is this a new epidemic? I bought a bosch air filter for my FL2 on e Bay (yes I know) "filter for Freelander mk2" and a picture of the square filter. Filter arrived its not square, apparently my fault for not looking up the correct one, and they expect me to pay the return post.
