    P38A Air suspension sucks

Is there a problem with "standard" being a little higher than factory? I don't think so. Lots of people have installed Johnson rods on LR3, LR4 and L322 without issue. This sets "standard" 2 inches higher than factory. You may say suspension parts will wear out sooner than they should but since...

    P38A Air suspension sucks

I said the system will not accept out of range numbers and I have 110 set as my standard height

    P38A Air suspension sucks

What are you doing when you say you are trying to level it with the software? Using RSW software to set heights you just enter the same number for all 4 corners, for example, 110 for standard height. Note that you can only change and save one set of heights before going on to the next...

What did you do with your Range Rover today

No, the cruise is towards the bulkhead, at least in my 99 NA car. Look at the photos. Zoom in. I am pulling on the cruise control cable and the cam that is raised is the one nearest the bulkhead.

Cruise control cam is on bulkhead side for Thor as well. The cams both look the same to me and not round.

    P38A Heater matrix o-ring / pipes - advice needed !

Ahh yes, forgot about that. Having a steering wheel and column in the way would certainly be a pain.

    P38A Heater matrix o-ring / pipes - advice needed !

I would first try removing the glove box assembly. I think that will allow the pipes to come out. Fiddly to refit but I think you would have to remove it anyways if the dash had to come out. Be carefull removing the release cable so that you do not break the plastic latch assembly. There are 2...

P38A Installing a factory winch tray

It came on another 99 P38 that I bought with the idea of transferring it to my offroader and then selling the car for more or less what I paid for it. I have to assume the original owner specified the setup when the car was purchased new. Does not look like the car had ever been offroad though...

Yes, I wonder about that as well. They are factory lights so you would think LR has considered that issue. Will see when I start driving around.

P38A Installing a factory winch tray

Finally installed my factory winch , brush guard and driving lights. Was a bit of a puzzle as to what to fit first. Turned out we had to install the bumper and brush guard first. The two bolts on each side that hold the crush cans in place were pushed through from the inside of the frame to just...

Oil Filter Conversion to Spin On

Yes, my brother's 5 door 109 is supposed to be X Dutch military. Has " convoy lights" and a few other peculiarities.

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Don't know about the sump and don't feel like crawling under the car just now. I would say that ABS sensor is in all the way. You could give it a light tap with a rubber mallet to be sure. No harm will be done.

Oil Filter Conversion to Spin On

My brother bought one of those conversion kits for his 2.25 petrol and discovered there was not enough clearance between the complete assembly and the frame. This was because he had an oli cooler takeoff as part of the original assembly. Had to send it back.

    P38A Head gasket advice needed

If you remove the small return pipe at the top of the rad you should see a solid stream of coolant coming out. No burping or spitting. Rev the engine to 3 or 4000 rpm and check for that solid stream. I had a bit of trouble refilling my system last week so drove the front onto ramps to get the...

Land Rover Owner Magazine no more

I sent a note to "[email protected]" asking for a refund on my recent digital subscription and 2 days later I received a note saying they would refund me $50 CAD. The original subscription cost was $65 I lost some money on the transaction but generally happy with the quick response and...

Disco 3 (LR3) Electric folding of mirrors not working

I went to two different Ford dealers and they tell me that relay is no longer carried. One said it was used in Ford F150 pickups from 2002 until 2004. Ford must have given them all to Land Rover to use in 2005 LR3. Will have to buy a used one.

P38A I have finally bought one!

For comparison I am paying the equivalent of 541 pounds to insure my P38 in BC. We have government run insurance over here which simplifies everything. You can add extra insurance through private firms but must first get basic from the government. I am retired, have a perfect record and don't...

Land Rover Owner Magazine no more

Putting the whole thing together is done on computers so you would think continuing with the existing digital edition would be possible but I guess there may not be enough money in it to pay all the bills. Would be nice if they gave me a refund....

Disco 3 (LR3) Electric folding of mirrors not working

I owe you a pint for that part number. Several on eBay. Since it seems to be a Ford part I think I will contact a local Ford dealer for a price. If too high will buy used. Don't want to spend too much on a test.
