The Exhaust bracket on my back box is a different size to the mid section bracket (so they don't line up and are currently held together with 2 bent M8 bolts... needless to say they won't tighten up enough and the whole thing rattles like bag of spanners in a washing machine... I'm guessing...

Does anyone know where I can get a replacement (non- Wipac) stone guard for 8" spots? One of mine has departed company... Can find the Wipac and KC ones easily enough but mine are plain (no logo) ones, which I prefer, the Wipac logo ones block too much of the light.

possibly a bad earth somewhere, I got some really strange behaviour with my indicators when I didn't earth the re-electrics properly. With really bad, neglected electrics its generally simpler and quicker to re-wire than play "chase the earth fault", at least then you know its all working and...

You'll likely need to replace with new diodes, either some research on google as to what the spec needed is or take the duff unit into Maplin (or an independent electronics place). Just replacing with a resistor will allow the current to flow in both directions so may give some unexpected...

Use a multimeter to check continuity across the contacts on the diode in both directions, it should only beep in one direction. If it beeps in both directions the diode is blown.

That's working per design then with the dim-dip relay. Its behind the instrument panel/dash if you're ever interested in replacing it with a dummy unit or bypassing it.

Probably because of the dim-dip relay. You can bypass it/fit a dummy one in its place as it is no longer a legal requirement. Are both the side lights and dipped lights on when the sidelights are on (switch position 1). Are the dipped lights dimmer at this stage than when the headlights are on...
