    Something a-mist?

Fitted the spacer to day but it doesn't to make a decent seal which ever way around I fit, have fitted the "wrong" way round for now so it protrudes from the inlet box just so it at least ducts most of the air from the bilge blower into the heater/blower inlet. Can't say I'm overly happy about...

    Something a-mist?

Have ended up ordering a spacer duct from LR Direct, everywhere else need a couple of days as its OEM part and those 2 days are 2 extra days it could be sitting on the "to be fitted" parts pile:D Will try using a couple of wraps of the sticky back neoprene/foam I have lying around for the seal...

    Something a-mist?

That's why I stuck some foam on, wasn't expecting to need stuff over an inch thick though. Looks like 11 and 12 might be the missing bits (I did find yet more bodged wiring on the heater/blower circuit so wouldn't surprise me if its another previous owner special. Part 11 : MRC8642 - Spacer...

    Something a-mist?

Took the blower air inlet duct off today to fit a bilge blower and when I re-fitted the the ducting I noticed it doesn't quite face up with the heater/blower box. See the distinct gap in the picture (the gap is actually about twice what can be seen because of the foam I stuck on before putting...

What have you done to your Landie today.

Fitted a bilge blower in the blower air intake for extra more betterer de-mist, only bought it just over a year ago  Discovered my wipers need some TLC somewhere as well... onto the list it goes. Failed once again to undo the bolts on the cover of the Fuel Injection Pump though.

    Fuel leak on a 90

One of the great things about Landy ownership is the vast amount of information out there for pretty much every job, have a quick search of these forums, give google a good flogging and throw in some Youtube amnd you'll see if its a job you could tackle. If you know which end of a spanner to...

What have you done to your Landie today.

After 2 years of "should sort that", finally got round to securing the cooling fan cowling with some actual nuts rather than "hopeful thinking" :D Fitted a jate ring too so I have some kind of recovery point.

    Crimper needed

If I could afford to use 38999 connectors on my Landy would.:D

    Crimper needed

Just a pair of snipped nosed pliers to crimp those and drop some solder on. The crimp part is mostly just strain relief.

Front radius arm bush to big?

Keep pressing, might take a bit of fettling each way to get them to centre properly, also its worth giving your arms a sand down and paint/spray at the same time to get more life out of them.

200 tdi not starting!! New to Defenders but I'm certainly learning how to work on them :)

Is the fuel stop solenoid getting power? Worth checking the connector on the back of it.

Electrical Help - Unidentified wires in Dash of Defender 200Tdi

The first picture looks like something that's been added aftermarket/by a previous owner (spade crimp and heat shrink)

    Problems with LED lights...?

Glad to hear you've managed to sort one issue and got a solution for the other. Sounds like the flasher unit doesn't like LEDs, or rather LED's used with chassis return earths. *insert grumblings about chassis returns and robustness to fault conditions* Out of curiosity, wouldn't an LED bulb...

    Problems with LED lights...?

Earth points should be in the rear left and rear right corner of the tub I think, on the floor in the corners, or just trace the negative off one of your rear lights. Continuity test, basically, select the symbol on your meter that looks like a a diode symbol or sideways wifi signal kinda of...

    Problems with LED lights...?

7V is a significant voltage drop (should be around 12V depending on battery state/condition, bit more than12V with engine running), my suspicion would a bad/loose connection somewhere. Start off by checking your earth's on the rear left and rear right, indicators also give some weird and...
