    Power drop off on hills

So I took my 90 300TDi on its longest trip this weekend (about 100miles each way) since I got it, mainly dual-carriageway and motorway. After just under an hour, the revs dropped off to nearly nothing, when going uphill and dropping a gear tio get the revs up gave nothing (5th to 4th). What I...

Checked the engine oil so obviously ended up fixing my horn.

The noisy ones are the best ones :D

    Rear A Frame Ball joint

I'm assuming by "splitter" you mean ball joint tool? Should be fine without one if you're replacing the ball joint, breaking the taper (hammer on one side and hitting the otherside with another hammer) or just belting t'****e out of the old joint should work, it'll knurl the end of the ball...

    Is your Landrover a Car.

Mine's a Station Wagon that's been converted to a Hard Top. Rang the DVLA and wrote to them with pictures and the V5. All they changed was the colour, they told me they considered the van sides to be a cosmetic change only therefore, to them, it remains an Estate car... As to what I call it...

    1984 Land Rover 90

Been asking myself this same question if I should put my 90 back to original when I rebuild it in a couple of years when I need to replace the chassis. (It wasn't original when I got it anyway) The way I saw it is I'd have to get another for having fun in...

Pulled for going too slow on the motorway

"Smart" motorways with gantries everywhere might play a factor in that...

Pulled for going too slow on the motorway

Then they should have planned better or allowed more time.

Pulled for going too slow on the motorway

There's nowt wrong with 50-55 on a motorway in Lane 1. If I need to overtake a slow lorry I am within my rights to pull out into Lane 2 to overtake, provided it is clear and safe to do so (as with any overtake anywhere), if it takes me a couple of minutes to complete the overtake then anything...

Pulled for going too slow on the motorway

I thought there was no minimum speed limit as long a you're going quick enough to not be causing a hazard. Must have been a slow day for the bobby.;)

    What's that noise?

Well Chaos Theory says that if you remove and re-fit the prop enough times you'll accidentally fix whatever the problem is... :D so 6 times down 34,223,345,777,456 to go?

What have you done to your Landie today.

No idea but for the sake of a simple swap I'm willing to find out.:D

What have you done to your Landie today.

In my LR90 I put a 3" 12V bilge blower in the blower intake ducting and connected it in with the existing blower fan. The de-mist is noticeably improved (much volume of air and more oomph out of the vents). Its not the strongest blowers ever but at least the warm air is able to get into the cab...

    Wipers stopped working

Give 'em a wiggle, they should start working. I have the same issue, got a new park switch to fit as mine seems to be none weather dependent.

    Fuel gauge 90 300TDi

If you know your approximate range on a full tank just make a note of your mileage when you fill up and give yourself 40 odd miles spare on what mileage you decide to fill up again and an extra can of diesel in the back.

    What's that noise?

Sounds like sonar to me :D Doesn't sound power steering related anyway.

    Fuel gauge 90 300TDi

Sender is fine then, and the connections, last thing before condemning the fuel gauge would be to clean up the terminals. Giving the the connectors on the back of the gauge a good "twiddle" could yield something but really it looks like your gauge is goosed. Final check would be James Martin's...
