Thanks for all that info guys. Definitely sticking with roof rack now. Just need to sort fixing properly now. I figure that a tree strop through wheel would be good to lower it down when needed.

That'what i was wondering.. hence putting on roof rack. The shear weight concerns me. Also was wondering if the width would mean it would likely catch windscreen when bonnet lifted as wouldn't want it too far forward i guess.

As per title.. does anyone have this size wheel bonnet mounted.. and how do they find it with weight on lifting bonnet, viability etc. I'm wondering if it will be just too much, even in getting bonnet to release on catch !! Thanks in advance
