yes, and delivered back to me to weigh up as they didnt want to get involved in further looking, let alone putting tools to it. hence i have a limited time and am trying to determing exactly whats what when everywhere i call cant look at it until much later

if its a chassis change again, i would walk away from it tbh. hencelooking at the steering first and trying to work back from there without confidence it has top be said,

its complicated.. and i did ok out of it.. just have to decide if worth doing and keeping on top of that with a near 6k buy back.

i only have stock pics of re buid at the moment.. but this tracking bar ahs had a straight edge put against its full length all round and no sign of any bend.

thats what i feel has happened. they were scared of it tbh

they said that without a defined issue simply changing the axle and associated parts would be over 9k so not worth it

this was all on it and hasnt been changed so will have to check in morning

engineer makes no ref to chassis on report, simply stated couldnt assess further without extra clearence from insurers and they immediately wrote off

not 100% what you mean by C bracket phil? is deff towing out, i could see it immediately, but still drove fine with no wobble or jusdder at all.

it drove fine, but i decided best to get insurance involved as was completely none fault.. thats all sorted

Fully re built already with galavanized chassis, new breaks, new suspension, new most thing... and re sprayed raptor. 6 weeks on road and some things not even finished. written off and delivered back to me to weigh up if i want it

the cars taken a hit.. front wheel poining out slightly at front. no visible bend damage.. front steering arm ball joint on this side has a split boot though. brand new heavy duty steering and tracking arm, plus re con dtering box fitted 2weeks prior. cant find anyone to do alignment test tis...

theyve already written it off.. stated couldnt align out of the red but have given very little (in fact no reason) as to why. They simply adviced could be axle damage, and damaged suspension.. but nothing visible and they basically didnt want to go any further with it. was a slam dunk none fault...

As per title folks. Mines a 1989/90 defender and im based near Plymouth. ideally a s local as poss. Please let me know if you have anything. Thanks.

Might be needing to change axle, and if so i'd prefer to try and find one local near to plymouth area or devon / cornwall. Please let me know if anyone has one. Thanks
