Just an update Replaced unit with one from e-bay thanks Dave the central locking unit is pratically a sealed unit and therefore would be hard to repair due to the amount of parts that need stripping just to get to the motors

Just a quick point, by trade I am an Electronics engineer and therefore have isolated the fault to the unit. As it and the lock are one whole assy I wanted to know if once out of the car it was fixable or to buy a replacement part before i take it out and it is a sealed unit etc.
