Thank you for that! Because i've never come across a 101 manual online in previous Land Rover searches it didn't occur to me to search for one.
Downloaded!
But i'm old fashioned and still like to have paper in my hands so i'll be scouring Malvern AGAIN this Sunday for any 101 manual in print...
If i can't find a parts and workshop manual at the next Malvern spares event or Stoneleigh next month i'll be calling on them as they keep in stock several different 101 manuals. There was nothing at yesterday's militaria day at Malvern
Took better pics of the data plates in the cab and noticed one of them listed the manufacturer as MCE Limited. I googled them last night and found an MCE Limited listed online but it says they were established in 1996 so probably aren't the ones who built ambulances, but i sent them an email...
Thanks for pointing out the obvious!
I only read it as '26' when i took that last picture to show the guy at Timpsons. Before then it read td2?
I'd tried searching for Yale td2 and td0 or tdg because that's what it looked like, if it wasn't just a scratch.
I hadn't thought to search for td26. In...
Wouldn't that be so highly stressed a badly timed loud fart in the cab could make it blow it's guts out all over the road behind it?
And how many sundays would one have to work to foot the cost, if a set of go faster head studs are nearly a grand...
So far i've driven it around a field scaring the resident sheep and then once around the block after slackening off the brakes as they are binding on, quite a bit... Genuininely worried i might not be able to get it back home again!
So a total brake overhaul is next on the list of jobs.
At the...

Ibiza FR PD130:

Ibiza Cupra PD160:
158bhp @3750rpm
243 lb-ft @1900rpm
remap:

I reckon they are the ultimate(unless you're going silly) 4 cylinder...
Did anyone attend the gathering at Great Billing a few years ago? THAT record attempt was a bit of a farse too! I had a mate in the Disco with me and as we were crawling towards the start i dropped it into low range to allow me to just crawl forwards without me having to change gear and slip the...
Did you close the windows? My old gaffa found that the be the cause of his wet front seat and lake in driver's footwell.
We took the 'piece' a bit the first time but when he did it again about three weeks later we were relentless for some time!
That's why they changed the name to ****part.
I finally learned my lesson after replacing front wheel bearings on my Disco 1 for two consecutive MOTs. Considering that it did less than 3000 miles on the road and Stoneleigh and Billing weekends between tests i felt the quality somewhat lacking!
I...
I agree but expect the problem then will be the price of fuel to run them and possibly road tax. Mind you, that won't hit your pocket if they maintain the historic vehicle tax. (fingers crossed)
Seriously? 85? With their history of fourth world class electronics i hate how many weeks a year they'll be off the road with 'electrical gremlins' in twenty years time...
