If you fancy some Yorkshire tea we are ready for you - there's also a small campsite in our village and we are about 5k from Thirsk.

    Hello

@Hicap phill -there are a couple of very popular French Landy clubs in Brittany and they organise various outings and activities. In general French 'mechanics' haven't a clue about LRs.

    Hello

Know it fairly well. We have just sold up after twenty years outside Guemene. If you get stuck for advice there's James Barrington near Loudeac, an hour from you but there's no one better in Brittany. Garage Barrington at Le Cheze. [email protected] He's generally quite content to...

    Sgt Bilko,

Welcome on board - it's a bit of a madhouse but there's something for everyone. Don't be shy, and if you are LGBT or whatever, we now have our own Rainbow Moderator who is Nig, just drop him a line for any guidance.

    Conned by air-con!

That's very good advice - thank you all. It's just too hot to look at now. Maybe the weekend when it's cooler. But worth the check before spending. Ta

    Conned by air-con!

You are probably both right: they had the car for two weeks. It's a but of a long round trip - 120 miles - (yes I know not that far) but it would really suit my circumstances at the moment to take it to my local indy and get it done. Easy way out I know.

    Conned by air-con!

It's annoying when you Google 3.6 V8 air con condenser and you get a list of air compressors. The paid for ad merchants are taking over. Anyone any thoughts or experience of after-market condensors? I've tracked one down to Tyneside which is only an hour away.

    Conned by air-con!

It's the 3.6 V8 so I am guessing the condensor is model/engine specific? I see the 3.0 and the 4.4 are the same.

    Conned by air-con!

I was afraid of that. Cheers. The coldest it's been was when I parked next to a Mr Whippy van in Scarborough last week. Is it a home job? Probably not. I'll check prices - I presume LR replacement only?

    Conned by air-con!

It works, it doesn't, it's on, no it's gone.........three re-gasses recently, the dealer said it was a faulty valve and fixed it (he said) and it lasted a week and yesterday there just a hint of coolness about it (not much - more wishful thinking) so I'm wondering how cold it should be? I've...

    Through the Dales, running sweet......

What you get from a phone cam is never quite what you see. Next time I'll take my camera - and my specs!

What have you done to your Landie today.

Hope you called in to the bar on the bridge at Bon Repos - always a good welcome. Used to live a few miles from there. Any probs there's a superb landy man, James, close to Loudeac. Have a great time.

    Through the Dales, running sweet......

I used to drive frequently from Brest - Nantes - Limoges and south and lamented a couple of years ago the demise of many of the small village bars/ hotels where you ate and stayed and enjoyed real local grub and friendship. Used to stay at a tiny bar near Parthenay called Chez Kathy and...

    Hi there

Good choice possibly, probably, maybe, don't worry - all the instructions to mend are here! Any pics? Colour, interior? history? By the way welcome. For some you will have to write in big letters and small words and sentences. These are from the neanderthal zone - no, not Wolverhampton - but...

    Through the Dales, running sweet......

The Rangie was running sweet so we went for a spin over the Dales for a cuppa. Small England may be, but what beautiful countryside there is - and hardly any traffic. A few pics to share if you don't mind - had to use my phone as I forgot my camera.

    Back on the Range.......

Had a few niggles after I purchased the Rangie and had a word with the dealer who said bring it back. Had a new power steering pump, broken valve repaired on air-con and spill rail minor leak now fixed: no quibble, good dealer sorted all and now back on the road. Oh how I missed...
