    Disco 2 imobilizer problems

Check the red plug on your TD5 ecu. Look for oil. It's becoming more evident that oil in the injector loom is the biggest cause of BCU & Immobiliser faults. You could try & disconnect the positive off the battery for a minute or two & connect, as sometimes this does work for the short term.

    P38A Sat Nav screen

These sat nav's are completely different area to what I specialise in. This comes under radio stuff, & different equipment needed. It costs thousands to set up & I already have enough investment ( over £100k) in the equipment I have already. I heard of that eastern European chap in the...

P38 is really stressing me out

Heres a long shot. On the front of the engine, you have two throttle cables with a thumb wheel. These can be knocked & this can cause high or low revs. A slight adjustment may be all that's needed. A garage changed an alternator on a V8 & this same problem had occurred since. Umpteen visits...

Disco 2 Slowly drowning in Discovery 2 woes (P1672)

Hi Jason, Exactly that. Just resync it. Although I did explain in more detail that the motronic would need to be diagnosticaly linked back to the BCU. You told us you had the Hawkeye, I didn't know that yours couldn't do the job. I assumed hawkeye could achieve this basic function...

    Disco 4 (LR4) Restricted performance

Lurching. That sounds fuel related. I've found a lot of problems that cause restricted performance are from the fuel filter & holder. A sensor in the fuel filter holder fails.

    P38A ABS & TC lights

Yes, they just slide in & out, sometimes with the help of a crowbar. Give them a gentle tap to seat them correctly & see if that does the trick.

Disco 2 Slowly drowning in Discovery 2 woes (P1672)

Jason, Did you send you BCU off to us in Brighton? I can remember the name & the problem, & if you are the person, amend your posts. All you need to do is to relearn your petrol engine management security. Easy as that. Your BCU had plenty wrong with it & that has all been sorted & tested...

    Really stumped now...

Has anyone advised you to check for oil in the injector loom? When this occurs all sorts of problems arise with no logical answer.

diesel, poor acceleration, worse than expected!!

The diesels are slow but yours sounds painful. It's also ringing fuel starvation alarm bells. Broken down pipes, weak pump or just a dodgy fuel filter. Blocked air would also be showing same symptoms. Just my thoughts..

    KEY CODE

I'd recommend the main dealer. The chances are it may cost you twice or three times as much trying to go down the cheapest option.

    Seller's Tricks

I prefer a remanufactured part to a new. A reman part uses quality parts while a brand new uses cheap parts & unlikely to be used in any rebuilding process. The majority of all rotors purchased would be a reman unit.

    Wheres my coolant going?

I've had a diesel for years. The coolant system runs at a low level for some reason. I kept filling it up & it would regulate itself & settle back down below all the markers. Never had a problem.
