Agreed ! I've checked Rave and this would make perfect sense. All I'm figuring out now is precisely where to locate the sockets. Inside the glove box would be the obvious provided I can get a suitable hard fix. Happy to hear any other suggestions.

I want to wire in a dash cam on a dedicated permanent cigar lighter plug. I have a bank of cigar lighter plugs which I could put in the glove box. I am no spark and taking a connection from the existing cigar lighter plug doesn't look like an option due to the limited access ( unless it pushes...
