    got myself a 90

Got a few things done to this one today. (I really need to think of a name, its not right she doesn't have one.) Anyway she now has freshly painted light surrounds and grill, Headlamp cages, Radio ariel, Head unit, CB radio, and CB antenna. The latter most caused me a bit of a headaches as...

    got myself a 90

Good news. Defender passed its MOT this morning. Had to do a few things to get her through but nothing major. 1. Change the number plate light 2. Radius arm bushes. 3. Bit of welding to in the wiper linkage to get the passenger wiper moving properly. 4. Secure some wiring Advisories. Will...

I drove into a marsh and now can't get out.

That only works if your vehicle has a spare  I think I should probably get one for it.

I drove into a marsh and now can't get out.

To be honest with a bit of know how she actually came out pretty easily. We jacked all four wheels and placed rubble under the tyres. I then used low range reverse and fairly low revs to get her moving, before gradually building up revs and speed to get the hell out of the marsh before she sunk...

I drove into a marsh and now can't get out.

Crisis solved. Big thanks to RichP for helping me get it out. Second farm jack, more rubble and going backwards instead of forwards and she drove out again. :)

I drove into a marsh and now can't get out.

What I really need if anyone can lend them is some recovery straps and shackles as I don't know where to get them from locally. She needs to be out tomorrow really as then the rain is coming back

I drove into a marsh and now can't get out.

Managed to get her to move about 4 foot. By digging trenches, filling them with rubble, and using the high lift to wedge more hard core under the wheels. Stopped as soon as the other side started spinning and will use more hard graft tomorrow, as think im going to lose the light now

I drove into a marsh and now can't get out.

Problem is jacking it up as the ground is to soft. I do have a high lift farm jack but don't know how to use it to extricate a vehicle. I also have a hand winch but nowhere to anchor it to. Also to get the l200 to tow I'm having to pull at 45 degrees to the fender in order to keep it on firm ground

Post town maybe Llanwrda but in reality we are closer to Lampeter. About 10 miles or so.

I drove into a marsh and now can't get out.

High there people I would very much appreciate some assistance extricating my 90. I took it into one of our fields to collect fire wood and it was kind of a lot wetter than I thought. The result being my 90 is now stuck up to its axles. I've tried to extract it with my L200 but it wont do it...

    got myself a 90

Yep daf is a vario. There is a 6th dad down the track and a mkiv spitfire in the yard. Oh and my disco is in Nissan style shed behind the cars. The oldest building on the farm dates from 1730. Whole place is a mud bath at the moment due to building work

50k is high mileage for one of mine lol. The daf in the same photo has done 24k and that is 20 years older!

    got myself a 90

I just picked this beasty up this morning. She is reasonably tidy under the mud and dust. Body is straight, interior is good bar headliner and chassis seems solid but will need closer inspection. She does have some issues though. Blue smoke that is non turbo related and problems with the...

    Been offered some landies

been burnt too many times by dodgy ebayers. Although this is a farm truck its not been caked in ****. The farm is 1500 acre hill farm and the landy was used to patrol the boundaries and deliver feed and hay to the sheep. A fair amount of the work it did would have been in low range but mostly...

    Been offered some landies

I've given it a once over for her now and found a few issues. Currently too much blue smoke to pass MOT. But body and chassis is sound as a bell, I will be advertising them for her I expect but not on ebay I don't trust it.

    Been offered some landies

My neighbour was widowed some months ago and has offered me to buy either of her two of her 3 land rovers. The lady in question has no idea of their value and I don't want to take advantage of her some I am after some idea as what would be a fair price to offer and which one to buy. 1. N reg...
