Or just cut them out and solder and heat shrink the wires together,the connectors are only for initial assembly.

Is the depression control valve clear Jack? If it is I think you will have to remove the cam cover and clean the wire mesh fitted to it,lots of torque screws and a very mucky job.if the wire screen is blocked then pressure will build up.good luck.
