I'd just remove a shim/shims and see whether that gets rid of any play before rebuilding the whole thing.

YRM crossmember cost me about £165 which is more than some others advertised but it really is well made and better quality than a Bearmach one that I bought for a previous Disco. How hard depends on how good you are with a welder and how much other rot you find when you cut the old crossmember...

Wouldn't have though so as they are completely different. I've just fitted a YRM cross member which is very well made and fits perfectly. Costs a bit more than the others advertised but worth it.

Don't think so. I was looking for one for a few months but I couldn't find anyone with a new one for sale. I ended up cutting a good one off a Disco that was being scrapped.
