    Project Freebie...

I’ve just read, and enjoyed this thread! Keep up the good work. Personally I’d go for mud terrain tyres and a touch of lift. I reckon it’d be quite a capable machine.......

    Ex-military S3 109" LHD

That’s a great looking truck! Near the town I live in used to be a company called MVS who sold, amongst other stuff ex mod land rovers. There were acres and acres of 109’s and I used to spend hours just looking around them. A few years later, most of them were gone but I did buy my first ex mod...

    Injector Pump Solenoid Potential Problem

How about running a wire from batt+ to the solenoid and then seeing if it’ll start on the key? I get 10.something volts on my solenoid when the engine is cranking. I tested it when my mate had an identical problem..... Btw he just fitted a switch in the wire from the battery to the solenoid as a...

    BFG KM3

I have the ‘old’ ones in 235/85/16 on my 90, and I really really wish I’d gone for 255/85/16 instead..... The KM3 is a great looking tyre though, whatever size you go for.... Rich

    Side mount Jerry can

I love the way that looks and can imagine for touring / overland travel, it’s brilliant. Not so much when green landing as it looks quite vulnerable and adds a fair old weight high up. Having said that, people store spare wheels on roof racks which is probably worse. Each to their own. It’s a...

Series 3 Electronic distributor or not?

I had one on my 2A at it was great - started straight up strongly, even when damp. Never faulted and never needed adjustment. I can’t remember what make it was though, unfortunately......sorry. Rich

UNDERBONNET PHOTOS of your 300 TDI install conversion please

I used the n/a air filter mounted on its side on a bracket fitted to the top of the timing chest, where the air con pump would have been. Snorkel comes into the front of the drivers wing and only a short bit of pipe will be needed to connect the snorkel to the air filter. Mine is a 300tdi...

    The first 24 hours...

Engine ECU aside, it’s all nuts and bolts really. Plenty of info out there and on here if ya struggle! I admit, it isn’t the best of starts but sometimes sh*t happens and you just have to deal with it. Was the landy bought from a dealer or private? If a dealer you really shouldn’t be paying...

    The first 24 hours...

It’ll get better, mate......once everything is replaced! Seriously, don’t be disheartened. Problems often crop up but deal with them one at a time and keep up the maintenance ( properly) and you will eventually be rewarded with a faithful, reliable and enjoyable vehicle for many years! It’s...

    My Series 3 88"

I have found a picture of my first series 3 ( it was the first road worthy Land Rover I had!). Taken in about 1992..... She ended up being re built on a new chassis and converted to truck cab. Had some great adventures together!!

    My Series 3 88"

I don’t have a series 3 any more and I don’t have many pictures of any of my old Land rovers. I did used to own this beauty back in about 2003 / 2004... Photo was taken at Hartington quarry iirc, when I was a member of Buxton and district Land Rover club. Rich

    Cynthia - 300tdi Project

You’ve got the makings of a great Landy there! Once she’s solid underneath, everything else is relatively easy! They are great vehicles to learn on (and you will learn plenty!), and fun, whether you are working on them or driving them! It helps if it isn’t your daily driver as it allows you to...
