I have a small leak on my gearbox. I will get it fixed, but it would suit me best if I could do it in three weeks, when I`m in the alps anyways. How do I check the level on the gearbox, so it doesn`t fall below dangerous levels? Marius

Drove the car for a run on high revs today. After that the heater was blowing considerably warmer than before!

So, the hose from the expansionbox to the radiator was leaking. So they mean thats where the air in the engine, making the heater go cold, is coming from. Not convinced!

Hi, I have just recently bought a L322. I cant find the manual for the car, just the service book, the radio-manual etc. I want to disassemble the tow bar. Just the hook itself, because I don`t want to drive with it assembled all the time. But how to do it? I am afraid of breaking stuff...

So, a little update. The car is running considerably more warm, in regards to the heater problem. Not warm yet, but the termostat was most def broken. I tried taking out the heatervalves. All the torx are corroded, so that is never going to happen. Tried running water through the inlets and it...

How to I check if the radiator is actually leaking? Could be spill from when I fickled about with other things!

Under the top hose I noticed some dried up coolant. Running down the rad. The heat fades away yes

I have then checked the error codes. There were none, and the termostat is operating as it should. I will now try to clean the valves, but find it very strange that the car gets semi-heated the first 10-12 minutes of driving and then turns cold again. Could there be a lack of coolant still...

I will get the valves out today. But I thought the ECU locked the thermostat fully open when it was faulty. At least thats what happened to mine now. Emergency mode or something like that. So I hope if I reset it, it will go away and let the thermostat function like it should again

Well. I tried getting the valves off. After I had just went for a drive. Dumb ####ing idea. Poored cooland from the valve intake on the engine and the damp sat of the fire alarm in the whole building. Good news, sorta, is that the coolant i spilled on my fingers was lukewarm at best. So...

I`ll bleed the system some more tonight, and have the errors deleted tomorrow. hopefully, that will do the trick. Will, if I have the time, try to clean the heaters valves as well.

New Thermostat in place. Blows a little bit better. But not sure I have topped it up enough yet. Nor do I think all the bubbles are out. Do I need to get the errorcode deleted for the Thermostat to work like it should again?

How much coolant must I plan on buying for this? Should I flush the system or drain the radiator when I do this, or will refilling the amount I lose when taking of the thermostat suffice?

Faulty thermostat, according to the diagnostics. Stuck at max level.

Going by a mate with diagnostics tools. Anything special to look for? What will come up of faults like this and what will stay hidden?

Keep in mind I live in Norway. Most cars come with winterpackages as standard. To cold here in winter. Skiing is good though ;) I`ll drain the radiator when I switch the thermostat. Anything special to do when I drain the car? All input is fantastic here! New thermostat will be in on...

Have found the valves. two of them. Have them on my BMW as well, and have fixed them before. Will give them a clean afterwards and se what happens. Could be it! I have something called Auxiliry heating on the car. At least in the sat menu. No idea what it is!
