Went by an old LR mechanic today. He is really good with l322. Reckons its a wrongly adjusted vanos. Will take a proper look on thursday

The torque converter was called back some years before I bought it. By Land Rover. I changed all the fluids on the gear box and converter about a year ago, when the gasket between them started leaking. Did the whole flush of the gearbox etc. The rumbling is not the sort that feels like you are...

And....its back... The yellow light came back on again today. As well as the car sort of rumbling when going uphill in 40-50mph. And its now leaking coolant. Just a little. But still.. f***.

Yeah, but I`m happy. The old garage I used would have debated this forever instead. The only reason for this taking so long after christmas was waiting time for parts. And two days for testing afterwards. He wanted to be absolutely sure it was in order this time. Got it back a little while ago.

No but i have refused to pay for the headgasket job until this is sorted. The car was at another garage first for a look over and they did not mention any problems with the vanos

The garage has finally found out what is wrong. One of the Vanos units is bad. Garage claimant it was bad before the initial repair, but faulted when the car was repaired. Is that right? I would thought they broke it during repair since it worked perfectly before the head gasket job. No rattle...

275/45-20 seems to give the same rolling radius....

Do you want a diesel or petrol L322?

Talked with the garage today. He was embarrassed and humble about doing something wrong in the repair. He will fix the car this week and I will get back to you what was actually wrong.

I got the wheels almost for nothing, but the tires need changing. So I will have to buy new tires anyway.

Not a big deal to me, but is there a dimension I can fit to counter this to get closer to the original rolling radius?

hellu! While I wait for my L322 to come back from the garage, I have a question about dimension. A buddy got me a set of RRS 20" wheels I can use in the winter. But I am unsure what dimension I should put on the wheels to make them correct for the L322. Its the wheels like on this picture...

I wonder if the camshaft timinig is the problem causer. I have googled alot about the p0022 and p0011 error codes. Seems to be when the timing is slightly of. If my timing is of, the car would misfire, right? Error code was P0022 Camshaft control bank 2 sensor

It will propably go back to the garage. I tried starting it with the plugs on the base out. All four. Then plugging one and one back in. It apparently fires on all of them. I tried switching coil 1 and 2, since the car was hard to start. Made no difference. The valve gasket is not put on...
