    DISCOVERY 1 HEATER BLOWER

Do you mean a 300Tdi with the completely different dash & interior?

    DISCOVERY 1 HEATER BLOWER

Think you have to remove the dash. The fan stopped working on my Disco when I had it on the road. Mine was H plate, so similar age.

    Series 3 Unknown brand

Personally I’d get rid. They serve no practical purpose and won’t show any benefits. Just another point of failure and maintenance. If they had been needed or offered significant benefits. They would have been fitted from the factory by Land Rover. And they never were in the best part of 40...

    Series 3 Original tyre sizes?

What rims do you have exactly? Are the tubed or tubeless rims? What do you plan to use the vehicle for? 7.50 x 16 is a good size, quite tall. But very poor choice these days. Modern tyres tend to work better than trying to stay old fashioned. There are lots of other potential sizes you could...

    Black plastic restorers

Here is what I’ve done: I was part way through the application when I took the photos. You can see a huge difference plus a few spots I hadn’t done yet. Very easy to apply and claims to last 200 washes.

    Freelander 1 Off-road / Underbody protection??

Thanks. I can’t actually see much for sale. MuddyMods doesn’t seem to list much these days for the FL1. I’ve found this sump guard...

    Freelander 1 Off-road / Underbody protection??

What sort of skid plates and the like do people run on their Freelander 1’s? I’ve found a sump skid plate. Although if I’m honest it is the nose of the Freelander that seems to take the stick. Are there any skid plates to protect the VCU? It seems quite vulnerable where it is.

    Freelander 1 Engine Swap/4WD Swap

If you have to ask, then the chances are no. As the 2 vehicles share no common parts and are totally different designs.

    Drove a Series 3 today

The S2 might have been built for less years. But rare it most certainly isn’t. Let’s use a little common sense here! As far as classic cars of this sort of age go, they are vastly numerous and common. Especially in the U.K. where there are loads and loads on the road still. And yes, quite aware...

    Drove a Series 3 today

I love Series motors. And of course you have to pay what the market demands. And hopefully they will retain that value as an investment. But in reality they are not worth £15-20k not even close. Not when you look at what else you can buy for the money. And what they can do as a vehicle. It...

    Drove a Series 3 today

Rarity??? Not convinced at all. Dash is one difference, but can’t see why it should be a deal breaker in the grand scheme of things. Not that I’ve ever seen any “curl”. Crack maybe, but not curl. Parts wise nope not really. There might be a bolt or so here and there. But considering most of the...

    Drove a Series 3 today

Sounds like there is a lot wrong with that one. But not unusual tbh. Shiny bits done for rebuilds while ignoring important components. Firstly why are you looking at diesels??? The petrol is a lovely sweet engine and much more refined. Mpg shouldn’t be as vastly different as you’d think...

    Drove a Series 3 today

Apart from Willy waving how is a Series 2 more desirable??? They are about 99.8% the same as a Series 3 anyway….

    Top 100 green lanes

A downloadable app would be great instead of a webpage that logs you as soon as you leave. That would make it much easier to use on mobile devices. Downloadable maps would also be great. As often in the wilderness phone signal is poor. I understand there is likely a cost angle here. But I...

D1 EFI manifolds and exhaust into One Ten V8 CSW

It should certainly improve it. If you want to tear into the engine then you can do a lot more of you are prepared to swap pistons and the like. In an odd way Peak power is not always so different between the different Rover V8 displacements. The heads become a limiting factor at a certain...

P38A Which EAS repair kit to get?

Thanks. I’m sure it isn’t that hard. Just a bit fiddly and I suspect not all that hard to get wrong. If I rebuilt it myself and it didn’t fix the problem. I’d not know if there was another issue or if it was a failed rebuild. Although in reality, I’m not sure I’ve got the time and effort to...

P38A Which EAS repair kit to get?

On a slightly different but related note. Does anyone know of anyone who offers a return service on the valve block? Ie either on an exchange basis or send yours in kind of thing?
