    Disco 1 Electrical Gremlin!

I was going to ask if you had a new alternator, because, sadly, IME, you need to be super careful of the set point - a new alternator on my D1 with a way too high set point fried my MFU, and damaged my alarm ECU too.. The alarm is repairable, the MFU is not. Remember that the MFU is old, and was...

    Disco 1 Electrical Gremlin!

You are correct IME. +1 - @mystery 's diags are superb. Certainly tak the Mystery out of the job..:) 3 weeks seems a relatively short time to go flat ... battery OK? Have you checked all the earths for the indicators..? with a wander lead as necessary ... the side repeater wiring on our...

    Defender L663 review !

I would consider it, if money could be made.. £3K is probably enough to make it worth a small amount of hassle.. However:- So, dead as a doornail then IMO - stick with what you have..

    Defender L663 review !

Given the tax "thing" is open till March - is it an option to order another new one within the time limit, and pocket the £3K ? ...

    P38A DSE Buyers guide please?

IMO, taking the AC off is, at the very least, unnecessary.. leaving it broken when it goes wrong might be one thing, but actively taking it off ... A P38 on coils loses more than half the advantage of the '38 .. the air ride is sublime, and the EAS is not that complex.. Plus, you have...

    300 Tdi engine oddball

Indeed. Which reminds me that some time ago, SWMBO's 300Tdi belt tensioner stud failed and fell in to the fan - that racket certainly got her attention!! :D OP - is your tensioner all present and correct ? o_O ...;)

    300 Tdi engine oddball

As post #2 - most likely servo exhauster... they have something of a reputation....;) Do as post #3, then you'll probably have your answer :)

1994 RRC Air Bag light on

+1 on the bulbs.. then start looking for verdigris... might be appropriate to disconnect the battery whilst you do so though.. ;) Or, at the very least, wear hearing protection .... your call :D:D

Disco 2 ACE Actuators no longer available!?! Servicable?

I suggest trying to find an agricultural hydraulics dealer... over 'ere, there are a few that can re-seal rams, and even make them from scratch as required - I've linked this to give you an idea of what to look for... https://www.engineering10.com/GB/Stockport/553749094736624/M6-hydraulics-ltd

    Greetings From Alaska

Welcome Aboard :) Nice 90 too .. As post #9 - the Mpi was only fitted to the D1 domestically - in which it was a slug.. nothing like enough torque - typical gubbermint interference trashing a perfectly good vehicle IMHO.. Whereabouts in Alaska ? we've been streaming quite a bit of...

    OEM vacuum pump

The price o_O ? Or get one from a scrapyard, if there are such things in your area ? Most of the suppliers over here do specify OEM or aftermarket etc in the parts listing on their website - but I think I know where you are coming from, as it is something of a minefield these days... Hos about...

All Electric Defender available 2026 (300 mile range). Thoughts?

Cool. I hope you have zero problems with your Defender, genuinely :). The issue for me is that they are too complicated for the climate where we live, and for the use it would get - I know this from bitter experience, sadly, which I wouldn't really wish on anyone.. especially anyone on here :)

All Electric Defender available 2026 (300 mile range). Thoughts?

Indeed! This about summed it up for me - The vehicle has, according to it, suffered a TOTAL electrical failure, and is being kind enough to tell me same .... and is doing so using an electrical device ...:rolleyes: You couldn't make it up

All Electric Defender available 2026 (300 mile range). Thoughts?

Our new FFRR just made it home, before "total electrical failure" was displayed on the dash!! - maybe 40 mins drive from the stealer :confused: o_Oo_O :eek:

Sport Is it safe to drive the car when it's on bump stops?

There is no way I'd be driving a vehicle daily, on the bump stops.. Nor would I drive it to the dealer for warranty work which as said above could invalidate your insurance - they need to send a transporter for it now, and furnish you a courtesy car.. Failing both, hire a car for the requisite...

All Electric Defender available 2026 (300 mile range). Thoughts?

Your choice of vehicle is exactly that - your choice :) . I'm pretty sure I have commented in your thread about it.. I could have more or less any new vehicle, and put it through my business too - but previous experience of "new" stuff has been so bad, that I won't do it.. When I see the likes...

    Newbie query about 90 lights

+1 on both counts - I have a full width intercooler - so air flow to it is critical - plus of course, interuption/compromise of the air flow to the rad would have been further interrupted - so I took them orft ;) It was when doing so, that I found out they weren't even wired up  o_O
