Morning! - HTH - or at least try :) Tig is way easier on thin stuff - if you have the kit, then .... I'd suggest it is time to use it - IMO, it is not such a steep learning curve for single position welding of thin stuff - it might give you a bit of confidence to try vertical roots in 40mm...

Try backing the seam with a piece of copper to take the heat away - should enable you to weld it .. MIG? Slow down! Try a relatively high current, but VERY short duration "spot" weld.. space them apart, and then fill them in over what will seem like quite a long time.. I'll see if I can find...

I've got the clarke one.. very good - maybe slightly heavy if I'm being super critical..

Whilst I do agree with their comment regarding Boeing, My first though was essentially:- :)

+1 - we looked at the Mitsi PHEV for business use - about as cheap as it is possible to get for a business - BUT the towing limit was only 1500Kg - and the efficiency dropped through the floor... so we didn't bother..

Possibly not, but endoscopes which use a smart phone display are quite cheap on the bay - though the cheapest will probably have insufficient resolution for seeing "up there" o_O I can't remember if the 14 has the sensor - it has been over 25 years since I spent any time on LR V8 petrol...

I'd suggest that the flex plate might be loose or cracked.. You should be able to inspect the plate, either through the holes for bolts or by removing the inspection cover on the bottom of the bellhousing - depending on which bellhousing you have.. I don't know which ECU system you have, but...

Amen - IME, rot is easier to deal with than Prince of Darkness electronics :D My first real memory is of my Fathers Minor Traveller having that issue ... when it fell in half (!), he took the running gear off, and rolled it onto a mattress he had acquired, and repaired it :) ..
