What did you do with your Range Rover today

I've never touched mine other than when I had the dash out but I would have thought the LHS would be easier with the glove-box out than the RHS with the steering column in the way.

    2.5 ton paperweight??

ELAB is the electrical stop valve. Not sure what ELAB stands for but activate that and it will stop any fuel getting to the engine.

What did you do with your Range Rover today

It's a while ago since I did mine. Odd though as you send your old one back to them to be refurbished again. Hmmm. Didn't know Charles did refurbed pumps. I know he had them off scrappers. There was a member on here a few years ago that had a pump refurbed by a guy in Norfolk. Think he may...

    They're good.

What did you do with your Range Rover today

@MrGorsky : your lumpy running when the tank starts to get low on your v8 ... doesn't your car have that carbon canister thing to catch fumes and then release them into the intake to purge it when running? If the valves on that are jamming could that cause a partial vacuum in the tank if always...

P38 Manual seats to Electric (again)

Odd that he has manual seats in a DSE really, although I think the designation meant less and less as time went by because everything became an option. My DT was lowline but has aircon. As far as I can see the stereo wasn't as good, no cup-holders in the cubby-hole, no high-intensity...

P38 Manual seats to Electric (again)

I don't think much will happen without a Highline power board.

P38 Manual seats to Electric (again)

You could get a Highline BECM and then swap your logic board over into it.

What did you do with your Range Rover today

I had all sorts of bits in my shed. If MrGorsky is coming your way I will dig them out and he can drop them off.

P38A Front Crankshaft Oil Seal Speedi Sleeve

If v8 Developments had polished the crank before fitting the replacement seal iwhen they rebuilt the engine earlier in the year it wouldn't have failed in under a 1000 miles in the first place. I'm still not impressed with that and wondering how long the rear one will last.

    P38A How Much? !!!

They'll be charging that because they know just about every bolt will be rusted and seized and probably need grinding off and replacing. It isn't a bad job but we broke one of the cheap (relatively) splitters off eBay when MrGorsky did his. Had to buy another but still cheaper than the Land...

    Japanese range rover

+1. Be aware the number and units are stored separately so 50k kilometres will becone 50k miles unless you switch over the units first. Pretty sure someone on here had the problem and fixed it somehow.

    Repair my crankshaft

My suspicion is that the copyright ran out and various companies tried it themselves but there's something about the technique not described in the public documents or it is in the heads of the teams that developed it. It probably appeared to work or did work under lab conditions but wasn't...

    A very valid point.

Yeah, I was never convinced but there was clearly an issue of some sort.

Electrical Issues - Basic Troubleshooting Guide Common symptoms - fault messages such as alternator or gearbox failure - lights flashing even when switched off eg headlights and indicators flashing like a police car - windows, sunroof not working and/or cruise control not working - these...

What did you do with your Range Rover today

I'm not convinced your man-maths is right. You did pass the supercharger numeral to the left when adding it all up?

    Repair my crankshaft

Possibly. BMW and others all tried the same technology and all had the same issues. The fuel should have been OK by then but I wouldn't want to bet how pure it was.

    Repair my crankshaft

Never had any issues with mine beyond tin-worm and that heater diverter valve thingy.

    Repair my crankshaft

That was the early one. Plagued by throttle body issues and chain tensioner failures. All sorted by early 2001 after which it is another Jag classic. Coolant pipe across the V at the back gets very hot in Range Rovers and can fail according to our 'enry on here.
