I have read the lower cost one's fail readily. I thought I should try and free these up first but, I've already looked at the replacements. might save a few £'s . The props need to relent this weekend or off to the scrap pile:)

My prop shafts no longer slide, what is the best way to release them or am I wasting time trying to free them up? UJ's are new but they have been sitting in the garage off the vehicle waiting on restoration starting. Cheers Bill

Well, after a few months of nothing I finally ordered my Marsland chassis as well as a few other items to start the rebuild in earnest. I intend to paint it with Buzzweld Galv in One paint after degreasing, anyone here had any experience recently with it?

Well, it got to me psychologically Blowtorch is excellent, should have bought one years ago. Waiting on my Paddocks delivery of seals so I can start to rebuild the handbrake, change oils etc.

Done at last, I ended up using a blowtorch to heat the nut to release it, still needed a 36” breaker bar / pry bar to shift it. Might as well do the seals too. Ant recommendations for the transfer box & gearbox oils? I know the viscosity just interested in the brands you use.

Slow progress, weather is a problem as can paint due to temp and using indoors not an option as I have another car in storage. Built the outside covered area to work on panel prep / painting so with the better weather things should speed up. Chassis order soon to be placed.

Great progress. I was tempted to clean up the engine and gearboxes to but decided to see if they need rebuilding, and I want to get on the road asap. Is that a Shielder Bulkhead you have gone for?

I have to take off the output flanges on the transfer box to remove the old Prop shaft bolts and fit the new ones, then reassemble. The nut is at 135lB/ft according to the manual.
