Great progress Tim, you may have seen the post about my oil leak, my advice is do it now before the rebuild is complete. A word of warning from experts, make sure the clutch plate is in the correct way😄 when reassembling.

A good seven hours supported by my glamorous assistant Miktdish. Engine out, rear crank seal changed, engine refitted ancillaries fitted, just the radiator and air filter and grille tomorrow morning, then hopefully no more oil leaks.

3hours of reversing the build in preparation to remove the engine to replace the rear crank seal. who needs another project when you havre this to do😄

Update, cleaned the contacts and replaced the handbrake switch, now it works!!

My warning light screen in the the instrument binnacle is so worn you cannot determine what the lamp refers to. Does anyone in the UK provide a replacement screen / overlay rather than an expensive replacement of the complete assembly?

Well, I have a new fresh MoT, Road Tax and insurance. finally drove the car I’ve owned for 4 years. There are still things to do however, it’s a Land Rover so no surprise. Miktdish, time for that bacon roll.
