Low Rev Throttle Response, at a loss now!

A couple of questions if I may to potentially round this off. Could the lack of top end speed be down to the re-map? I asked for a less aggressive one, and they did that so no more jerking and jumping, but it takes an age to creep up to 65/70mph, the upside is fuel consumption it markedly...

    Typo....more coffee required - 235/85R 16 🙄

Low Rev Throttle Response, at a loss now!

235/35R Continentals on currently - I put BFG's on my Disco and plan on doing the same to the 110. I meant to say that the Nanocom was reporting 'Overboost' before I turned the wastegate threads out a couple of turns - will turn it back a turn and try that. Interesting that I never...

Low Rev Throttle Response, at a loss now!

@sierrafery @boguing Just been out after fitting the new depression valve - Nano Log below - at first glance it looks better, though I bow to your experience. Felt better too and certainly had more balls going up the hill to the farm. Got up to nearly 70mph but STILL feels like its lacking...

Low Rev Throttle Response, at a loss now!

@sierrafery @boguing Busy couple of days, but I took her out yesterday after disconnecting inlet at MAF sensor - no change really - apart from sounding like a boy racer with a dump valve...."...pshhhhh..." 🤣 Depression Valve should arrive today...

    Carpets or no carpets...?

I'm tempted to remove the carpets from my '99 110. I quite like the look, especially when re-painted (mine is 'Epsom Green'). As someone recently said, "...carpets just soak up the water and create rust..." 🤣 What are your thoughts?

Low Rev Throttle Response, at a loss now!

Got a day off, so typically been roped into taking a shed load of mud grids to the stables for my Minister for War and Finance! Will get some time on the Landy later, if I hide somewhere in the garage! :vb-stilletto: She's worth it tho!

...I suspected as much, hence not bothering ;)

Low Rev Throttle Response, at a loss now!

@sierrafery ...re' the depression control valve, I have seen a couple of videos when people had blocked that off completely on the premise that the breather will access 'clean' air rather than recycled...I haven't done that; but I am curious how the valve works and how it may contribute to my...

Low Rev Throttle Response, at a loss now!

Great, I'm on it! I noticed oil by the turbo 'oil feed' pipe close to the centrifugal oil filter around the banjo bolt, is that standard? Its not anything like a major leak, but it is there...

Low Rev Throttle Response, at a loss now!

What am I looking for when I do this? Better boost or no change?

    Aerial connector

Quick question, I have searched... I am putting a stock original radio in my '99 Defender TD5, but it has a much smaller antenna/aerial socket, does anyone know the part number or maybe just what type I need? The male connector currently in there is much thicker - thanks...

Its a new air filter, I'll give it a go though, cheers...

Low Rev Throttle Response, at a loss now!

Yes, wastegate slides in and back out as expected. Turbo-Cartridge? I guess we're now entering uncharted territory for me. I guess if we're now talking about sending injectors away it might as well go into my local garage (he specialises in LR and has for forty years, so pretty trustworthy)...

Low Rev Throttle Response, at a loss now!

Thought I would give an update - I hate it when threads just fade away without a conclusion.... I've put the 'stock' ECU chip in and the old girl runs 'fine', yes not the power and grunt it had when the mapped chip was in, but much more pleasant to drive and not spewing copious amounts of black...

Low Rev Throttle Response, at a loss now!

I have read these threads with interest - very polarising thoughts on the efficacy of the MAF on a 10p engine, particularly when the EGR is blanked off, as it is in mine. MAF 1 MAF 2 I do understand the issues you describe re' low boost, and will investigate that further. All I can say is...

You did indeed, and I suspect thats one of the things that has helped, along with everything else I have done.
