    Flat Spot at low revs...

Bugger! I think I'd read something similar....good new is if true, I'll have time at the weekend to find something else that needs fixing!! 🤣

    Flat Spot at low revs...

Hi, On the whole, my 1999 110 runs fine...well I am happy with it anyway. However, sometimes, I have to get the revs high for it to 'bite'. This only happens when I slow down for example, then press the throttle, it goes 'flat'....then I have to either change down into a (not needed) lower gear...

    Spring Compressor size?

Nah, its all good mate - it was a job and a half though.I would definitely recommend anyone reading this to drop the shocks - those spring compressors, despite doing the job felt very precarious and had they have failed it would have been dangerous!

    Spring Compressor size?

I admit, my heart sank then!!! Its held on with Blue Tac! But seriously, thats it, the whole kit. I checked out a LOAD of videos and nothing different.

More responsive after a short drive

Good plan! There was already a cut-out on the rear floor to access the fuel pump, but also seen a small cut out on others to access the breather pipe, so if it is the breather, in for a penny and all that, I'd cut another access hole. A blocked breather seems instinctively to explain the...

More responsive after a short drive

Yeah, did that at the weekend, all was well - I wonder if it might be the fuel tank breather at fault?

More responsive after a short drive

Thanks, the fuel pump priming takes longer than 10 seconds after ignition is turned on. Seems to go in two stage too. 1st a low pitch whine....then suddenly raises the pitch before stopping. If I link the two batteries (T-Link Dual Battery System) the priming sound is high from the onset. I...

    Front wipers not returning

1999 Disco 2 - does this require a replacement wiper motor or is it a relay a bit like on the Defender? Ta!

    Spring Compressor size?

    Yep, they're the ones!

    Spring Compressor size?

Thanks, I have seen that method. But to be honest, for around £15 squid, I'd rather have a couple of compressors on hand. Having looked at them, the 'Heavy Duty' ones seem like they might do the job.

Good for you 🤣🤣 Just teasing! 😉

More responsive after a short drive

I know older vehicles drive a little better and more responsive when 'warmed up'. But how/why would this be noticeable in the amount of play before a throttle pedal responds? When my 110 (1999) starts up it takes a while before the pedal response is what I would expect it to be? Ta!
