    Terrible LPG mpg

I think my lpg system is Autogaz. It was done by the previous owner 3 years ago by the green fuel company but I don't have any documentation and there's no logo's etc on any of the kit. The mechanic did say the vaporiser looked quite small in comparisons to other range rover conversions. The...

Yeah but I wanted a car not a tractor :0p

    Terrible LPG mpg

I know poor mpg threads here are generally met with distain but my car definitely has a problem as I am only getting poor economy when using Lpg, petrol mileage seems absolutely fine. Long trips I get above 20mpg showing on the dash but my actual LPG usage is around 11mpg. City driving I...

"PROG" message and spare key doesn't work?

Thanks again, yeah I will definitely try it first but it has to be it. Does the little transponder sit above or below the circuit board when the back of the key is removed? Seems crazy to me that its loose inside. Out of curiousity what does the PROG message mean also? It os still popping up...

"PROG" message and spare key doesn't work?

Yep! Come to think of it I did! Thought it was a plastic packer to make things fit tighter but I kept it just in case. Top man. Thanks hippo!

"PROG" message and spare key doesn't work?

Had no issues with my range rover yesterday although my spare key's rubber buttons were looking a bit messy. I opened it up, removed the battery and circuit board and fixed the rubber outer button. All good so I thought. Opened the car with the key but when turning the key in the ignition...

Think I just bricked my sat nav/tv screen

Ok spent a further 3hrs trying to fix it today but still no joy. I removed the plastic floor covering and got access to the radio tuner box. Unplugged all wires from it and tried again. Still no sound. Checked all plugs and wires for any sign of corrosion and its all as clean as a whistle. Then...

Think I just bricked my sat nav/tv screen

Thanks, do you have any inclination which wires it could be? Is the radio tuner housed in the head unit, tv tuner or something else? While I appreciate its a common issue the lack of being able to tune the radio or even see it all all leads me to think its more software/hardware related.

Think I just bricked my sat nav/tv screen

Woo hoo!! Disconnected the sat nav unit and got the screen working again. The graphics are just the same just without the sat nav option. Replugged in the sat nav unit on the off chance and pow, its all back working again!! Thanks guys. Despite this I am still having the same issue as before I...

Think I just bricked my sat nav/tv screen

Thanks. Do you know roughly what sort of price it would cost to reflash as it would probably be a lot easier to buy a second hand unit if its just going to be a case of pulling the old one and putting in the new. Or do you think this might jave compatability issues. The connectors all seem in...

Think I just bricked my sat nav/tv screen

Thanks both but I think I'm screwed. Waited for the light to go out, removed fuse, 1hr wait and then tried it again. Can hear the unit in the back and in the dash power up when the fuse is inserted but screen stays all black (but backlit). Damn. And I had red about waiting for the red light to...

Think I just bricked my sat nav/tv screen

Currently it turns on but the screen is black but backlit. The radio knob light goes on and off when pushed, the cassette eject works and so does the mpg data etc on the speedo display. Has it had it and therefore requires replacement? It started after I removed the radio and sat nav fuses...

Woo hoo!! Finally bought my first range! Any basics I should know?

Yep, thanks saint I agree. True mpg figure should be around 18mpg when the dash os saying 20 so somethings amiss. Good thinking on it being related to the codes as well. If I was overfuelling then will I notice a smell of lpg? Not noticed anything at all but will keep my nose open! I know its...

Woo hoo!! Finally bought my first range! Any basics I should know?

My dash read out on a 100 mile run today was 20mpg but my actual lpg mpg was 13mpg. This seems less than it should be to me. I should be getting over 15mpg easily seeing as you're getting that with a lower dash readout of 18mpg. With these rates the price of running it on lpg only 20% less...

Woo hoo!! Finally bought my first range! Any basics I should know?

^^^ call it a difference in opinion. I don't mean getting caught out as in losing control, but you really reckon you've never driven round a corner that tightens and your range lurches at bit? Thats total bollocks mate unless you drive like a granny all day. Might be different in your part if...

Woo hoo!! Finally bought my first range! Any basics I should know?

Thanks but I wasn't moaning about mileage just giving my honest feedback from owning the car for a few days, both the positives and the negatives. Yes I was expecting better mileage on lpg as even with both mine and your figures I should be getting more than 4 miles to the £ if the dash is...

Woo hoo!! Finally bought my first range! Any basics I should know?

^^^ thanks for the tip and yes my daily driver is a sports car with the range is to be used in the winter mainly as my other car is simply dangerous in winter and the b roads where I live can get pretty bad. No matter what car you drive you will always be caught out on some corners no matter...

Woo hoo!! Finally bought my first range! Any basics I should know?

5 days of ownership so far and have bit making the most of it. Been using it on all trips round town and have been on a few jaunts. Drove to the centre of london on friday night through croydon traffic and then 50 miles on the m25 home the next day. Took her down to brighton earlier today as...

Woo hoo!! Finally bought my first range! Any basics I should know?

Everyone seems to be saying this and while I can't comment from experience surely high maintenance is to be expected? Its a 4 wheel drive, 3000kg 4.4v8 monster riding on a cushion of air and had more toys than currys and ann summers combined. To expect it to have no issues would be dreaming, the...

Thanks all, Yes that sounds great dolphinboy, i'll keep that in mind. I travel right past your place on a regular basis so that would be ideal. Happy to hear they were a optional extra rather than from the sport. They are my favourite style too so glad to hear that.# Saint, I will definitely...
