Diff pinion - damn and blast

Reading this thread with interest as I have to do mine at some stage. I have a noise that resembles a tube trains motor accelerating and de accelerating if that makes sense. The noise goes when I remove the rear prop. The t box is relatively new and I've replaced the half shafts and drive hubs...

1965 Series 2a Station Wagon in Holland

Any form of cold bridging is a nightmare to solve. Internal sheet insulation is the only answer for the co create. As you tip the bead into the cavity, it will help if you can get someone to mist spray some diluted pva from a garden sprayer. Many a time in the winter we have watched our bead...

1965 Series 2a Station Wagon in Holland

Hi stretch, I've just come upon your thread re home insulation. I did this for 6 years for a company over here in Ireland. Air tightness is a big thing over here now and retro fitting is extremely difficult to get good results. The majority of draughts occur around windows doors and electrical...

    Mazda rx8 seats.

@Bladerunner9291 here are some photos which show how I put the cut outs in the 2x1 box to enable me to get to the rail bolts. They show the siting of the rail on the bus section so you can still fit a middle seat and close the doors. It's has the 2x1 to allow seat to slide over the seat box seam...

    110 rear crossmember Welding

I'm sure that won't be an isolated patch of thin rusty metal. Why spend all that time and effort repairing that patch. When you've rebuilt it and in a couple of years, another patch of rust appears, you'd have wished you had put on a new rear crossmember.
