    Traction Fault

ABS ECU was the wrong type! it seems there are two versions - ordered the correct one now. I have replaced all of the ABS sensors and am still getting the same errors. The rear right sensor isn't registering a voltage on my Nanocom, but when I drive forwards, the sensor is generating a speed...

    Traction Fault

I managed to pick up a second hand ABS ECU for £20 on eBay and a set of 4 ABS Sensors for £40. Going to have a look at the problem next week when I have a few days off, should have all the bits that I need there. I'll let you know what the outcome is.

    Traction Fault

To save time with the Rave, does anyone know if the sensors are wired directly to the ABS ECU? Pins.

    Traction Fault

Datatek, do I need to remove the glovebox, or is it lower than that?

    Traction Fault

The message centre says I have and ABS Fault and a Traction Fault. I connected up my Nanocom and in the faults it says that the front left sensor has shorted more than once? On the inputs, both front sensors are reporting 2.37v when stationary, and the voltage fluctuates as I drive...

    Stretched Version

I like that, but at nearly £19,000 I could get a decent L322. Unique though!

    Re mapping. Let's sort it.

I had a 2.5 diesel (BMW) P38 a few years ago, I had a box fitted by a company called Tunit. I also fitted a bigger intercooler and the power certainly went up. Not long after I had to have the gearbox and the transfer box completely re-built. The boxes may well have be worn before I did the...

    multipoint l.p.g. ????????

If for some reason, the car is trying to start on LPG, it won't be able to, as I understand that the hot water produced by the engine is used to vaporise the Liquid Petroleum Gas.

    multipoint l.p.g. ????????

Mozz My 2000 model 4.6 has the Zavoli system, it sounds just like yours. The lights on the dashboard unit do come on when you turn the key. As you know the car starts on petrol, so only the red light is on at first, indicating that it is running on petrol. Once the engine warms to the preset...

2.25 fuel filter diesel, ramsbottom lancs

I have just sent a text back to MadHatMan, I'm happy to help if I can. I'm about 6 or 7 miles away. I don't have a filter, but if you need any tools or equipment I'll come over and help. I can tow you to somewhere safer if needed, or even up to my house if you want. Just let me know.

    Shaking

Yes, the shaking was really bad, I had to pull over on to the hard shoulder to check that the wheels weren't falling off! The shake was so violent, I had to stop to stop the shake, it was as if it was amplifying itself and getting worse in a very short few seconds.

    Has anyone seen this

Looks a bit suspect to me! Locks not working? Open? LPG install not finished but the gas tank is full of gas?

    Shaking

Good luck, make sure you have lots of time and somewhere dry to work. You will definitely need oxyacetylene to warm up the collars. I bought a ball-joint extraction tool set from eBay, but it couldn't get the pressure on without the help of the welding torch.

    Headlight upgrade

I fitted the HIDs to mine, and whilst they are great on the very dark country lane that I live on, I am taking them back out this weekend. I found that the light produced is all over the place, it seems that headlights designed to work with HID bulbs require a lens to focus the beam correctly...

    Shaking

I had previously done: Suspension bushes Track rod ends Track rod Drag link Shock absorbers Air springs Wheel bearings Steering damper Whilst I had the wheels off and the hubs in bits, I did the discs and pads too. Everything is fine now.

    Shaking

Mine was being set of by potholes, the ball joints seemed ok, but they were the last thing that I could have tried. A clunk had developed recently, and as I had already replaced pretty much everything else in that area, those ball joints were the next suspect. Replacing them has done the...

    lpg poor running

Have you tried resetting the trims with your software? I do mine every few months as I tend to get similar symptoms to the ones you are describing. I bought a cable kit and software that cover most LPG systems that are available in the UK. My own system is on my 4.6 2000 model, it is a...

    Shaking

If you mean the track rod ends, no. I replaced the big ball joints that hold the hubs to the front axle. They are very difficult to change, ended up using Oxy-Acetylene to warm them up! In fact they are an absolute bugger to change, wouldn't be keen on doing that one again! Track rod ends were...
