    Trying to Rebuild 1987 110 C S W

I am likely to end up doing an oil cooler conversion in the future to delete it out of the radiator and I'll get HypeHose to make me up new pipes. I did see these. I can make the pipes how ever I want to suit my needs.

    Trying to Rebuild 1987 110 C S W

Oh I see, it's just I had to use one a few weeks back due to the randomness of Land Rover parts and numbers lolz the oil thermostat housing has two types but with the same part number and the cooler pipes have two different ends that go into the radiator, proper ball ache, mine is a cut and...

    Trying to Rebuild 1987 110 C S W

I see you have a compression coupler on your oil cooler pipe, might I be so bold as to ask why?

hi everyone pleased to be here looking forward to it

Whilst the 2.8 Tdi Daihatsu engine is a massive improvement over the old 2.5 N/A and even the 2.5 turbo engines, it ain't no half shaft snapper I can tell you lol :) I would stick with an LT77 and LT230 transfer case to be honest, reliable, cheap and pretty original.

Hello. What box has she got in there now?

    Mounting spots on bull bars.

How thick is the tube of the bull bar? Would it take a riv-nut? You could easily get some 2.5mm flat bar stock and bend it around the tube and drill the flat bar and the bull bar then open out the bull bar holes to accommodate the riv-nuts and then bolt the flat bar to the bull bar in two...

    Steep learning curve

Mate it's mental, the price jump on the basics has been insane, boot floor is now almost £100, I remember not long ago it was less than £70, side panels were £120 for a pair and now they're that much each, wheel tubs were £45 and now over £90 and that's if you can get them at all and the sill...

Anyone able to help get me unstuck near Llangollen

Well done, was worried you were getting buggered in the woods and walking home :D Looked like an interesting dead pull of a stricken Land Rover in a boggy wood. Glad that it went according to plan.

Is this hole as bad as it seems!

Pull that wading plug out of the bottom of the bell housing, it will only fill up with oil and ruin your clutch ;) Just because the bulkhead was replaced, that's not to say it was with a brand new one or even a very well painted and rustproofed second hand one, 6 years of UK salt ridden roads...

Undo the set screws on that anti rattle catch and you can adjust that too. Should lock an unlock on central locking remote. If not then buy a £20 kit an just use remote for back door lol

    Project Rusty.

Is the auto box off a 300 mechanical operated or electrically? I was under the impression that the 300 was electronically operated with it's own ECU unlike the auto box of a 200 that is mechanical in operation?

    Project Rusty.

I fancied an auto TBH but finding one the one for a 200Tdi is like hunting down hens teeth and after seeing how much it would cost me to get one of them there electronic controlled jobbers working in there is beyond my means in these present times. I had looked at it as an opportunity to maybe...

    Disco 2 Transfer Box Reliability

After 16 years I would expect your O-ring seals on the intermediate shaft to have hardened and started to flatten out which will start as a weep and turn into an incessant leak and drip as time goes by. Output shaft seals are also prone to ageing and going hard which in turn turns into a leak...

I was doing the double clutching between 1st an 2nd but it was getting beyond a joke. New gearbox will fix it and then it will be fine..........
