Get him to disconnect the bodge and see if fixes the other issues. Unlikely to find someone else who has bodged it in the same way, unless of course it's an official bodge as recommended by LR bodge department which I doubt even they would do :)

If the fault stays with the drivers side after you swapped the bulbs I'd be looking for a wiring issue. I had the same after the previous owner cowboy fitted 2006 lights.

This is the link to when I did mine. @kds solution of using the Vellman 2 channel remote is much better but I'd already bought the kit to do it my way. Yours may work slightly differently as I have the touch screen but I suspect the remote start is the same...

What engine do you have? Only fitted to Diesels unless selected as an option.

It will shut down when it overheats then start again once it's cooled down. My Foxwell shows the compressor temp and used to overheat regularly when I was chasing a fault on the F/N/S.

At that age it may well still have the old analogue tuner fitted.

Are you saying it's stuck on TV and you can't switch to the other functions like radio or CD? And yes I believe it's a dash out, there are youtube videos showing how to remove it.

So they have updated the display but they may not have replaced the TV tuner which is in the rear left quarter. I would still expect the old analogue unit to work just with no sound or picture. The BMW unit may not even support TV but now it's not standard I have no idea how you can get it working.
