    Wot, 2 litres?

Uncovered him and checked the dehumidifier and trickle charger. Both doing well. Substitution testing with the relays, if they are dodgy we should now get EAS or ABS errors but still have fuel and ignition. Ran him briefly but unable to take for a test drive yet.

Always check if the council signage is compliant with the relevant bits of the Traffic Signs and Road Markings legislation. They often screw up. Incomplete or lacking terminal plates on yellows but still being enforced is common. Where I used to live a shoddy yellow line got put in and for...

Unsure yet, still testing but checking possible outcomes. Otto is a 1997 gems 4.0 SE

Soldering is one skill that runs away screaming when I try it. Refurb of the existing one would be the plan if it does need doing but when weather permits I am still in the relay and circuit testing phase. Just researching worst case scenarios.

Looked at replacement fusebox prices as Otto may still be on original or certainly well aged one. Most places seem to be ballpark £200 but out of stock. Island 4x4 are in stock but price gouging at £600 plus vat! Will keep checking everything before going that route!

What did you do with your Range Rover today

I've had recurrent tendonitis in my wrist for about 15 years after being rear ended on the bike on the way to work. Last couple of years taking a turmeric and black pepper supplement have been the best for ages. Mostly gone, occasional flare up after gardening or garage stuff but settles much...

Fingers crossed for you for swift diagnosis and easy and swift treatment too.

Otto's ones were Dunlop marked, can't remember which seller but I think they were around £100 each or £160 for the pair each end. Obviously we did both pairs as he sagged everywhere. Fronts were nice and easy in hindsight, just one awkward to remove clip on each. New ones were all plastic on the...

Otto's right rear was worse to do than the left. P38. I had to jack up the axle to get the pins in, thoroughly copper greased. Worth it, ride better and stays inflated now. Had no issues with the airline.

Swore at him, but a P38 should be used to that. Couldn't find a permanent live in any trailer socket wires, so connected the trickle socket across the tailgate release one. Seems to be working fine. Then tried the fuel pressure again after checking the inertia switch (no movement there) and blow...

Thanks for that confirmation I wasn't mis-reading RAVE. The wiring diagrams there do my head in after years of Haynes / Clymer bike loom simplicity. I'll try probing direct in the socket, tomorrow if the rain gives a break. I was backprobing the connectors where the cable goes from behind the...

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Checked and emptied the dehumidifier, checked the trailer wiring connection as thought from RAVE there would be a permanent live in there that I could tap off to trickle charge via, but no luck. Then later on realised that there is a permanent live to the tailgate release circuit, and as I have...

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Got him out from under his cover, gave him a full charge and emptied the dehumidifier yesterday. Today took him to the garden centre cafe, about 27 miles of faultless waft. When we came out he ran roughly for a minute, stalled and wouldn't restart. Lack of anything from the Schrader on the fuel...

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Uncovered him, took out the half full dehumidifier (it has been wet recently and it was set to maximum effort). Took 3 goes and a prod of throttle from cold for him to catch and stay running. Took him out for 30 miles of local exploration and wafting, troublefree. Got home, left him 15 minutes...

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Gave him a boost charge yesterday, then put the dehumidifier in him overnight. Cover off, dehumidifier off and took him for a 2 hour 55 mile waft around north west Cheshire today - first time out in 10 weeks or so since we moved. One false start - probably fuel vaporisation / air in system...

    Opinion please

Only fit like that if you drill your own mounting holes in the chassis plates. And the overhang would be wrong each end too. They're well built and pretty idiot proof for fitting.

    P38 Coolant - confused.com...!

Before we got the nanocom we used a £10 or so plug in from fleabay and torque lite app to good effect.
