Series 0.5 Sand Rover performed adequately on the maiden voyage. Sand was hard to medium firmness and wet. Drove well on there, coped well with 4 to 5 inches of gentle surf. Tougher going over the big shingle, tendency to wedge one wheel but good over small shingle. Worth persevering...

Wafted Otto happily and steadily to the lakes, despite some horrible winds, rain and traffic. Enjoying a lovely hotel for wife's birthday weekend.

Now that would be a project. Especially still getting it to fold to fit in the car...

Hopefully better than the rigid smooth plastic original wheels. They just sank straight in.

Adapted my wife's old mobility aid to better suit rough terrain and the beach. Might fit a green oval badge, but not sure what model it is most like.

Uncovered him between rain spells to check the fluids and dehumidifier before our spell in the lakes next week. Should be nice wafting those roads again for the wife's birthday. All good so far, tyres to check next dryish spell.

Gonna have fun trying to drift that, surely?

Depends on your car. Wife tried to warm her hands on Otto's bonnet after a 60 mile mostly motorway and A road run the other winter while I sorted the pay and display, his bonnet was stone cold to touch. Plenty of warmth wafting through the grille though.

Before it rains (I know, famous last words) get the trickle charger back on him having had it on the wife's Ka for a week. Hoping to get that sorted and back together for an MOT soon, been a long time but health issues slow her badly. Less than a fortnight til her cardiology appointment now.

Was the cause the magnet coming loose while running, or the armature breaking up and collecting the magnet though? Same fubar result either way though.

He's spent the last week as our daily driver, after having my window smashed in and being punched in the face by a gang of yobbos on illegal bikes while visiting the brother in law last weekend in the everyday car. Behaved except one eas pressure switch not changing state error, first time in...

Do you mean manifold to engine, or manifold to exhaust pipe? If to pipe, then make or adapt 2 bracket sections that you can bolt or clamp across the joint, and then wire securely around the pipe so they can't drop away at all.

I'd seen one is to set the start of the movement, the other to regulate the rate of increase. No ABS faults shown on dash, and I would expect a sensor issue to give a proportional difference through the speed range, not start and end at consistent points and a fixed deviation.

I think I turned off the EKA too but not sure. I don't find nanocom completely intuitive. Speedo accurate to about 25mph, and from about 65mph upwards, but under reads by 10mph consistently between those according to 2 different GPS speedos. If in doubt drop to 3rd and revs give a check at...

Been off here for a while. We've done a few runs in him over the last couple of months, eas seems to have settled down but Speedo still out in the mid range. Just put his trickle charger back on after a week boosting other toys, and emptied the dehumidifier. Played with the nanocom and managed...

Went for a comfortable waft to the brother in law's, via a garden centre cafe. Still throwing the pressure switch issue with EAS about 5 to 10 miles from first start, but behaving perfectly otherwise.

My fusion is fly by wire throttle and used to often drop into limp mode in the wet. Took the pedal pot off, dismantled, cleaned the tracks and wipers, dried everything out thoroughly and used a smear of sealant putting it back together. Had no issues in the 7+ years since.
