The battery on my Def 110 is reading 12.7v, anyone know if that means it's fully charged or not? Shouldn't a fully charged battery read 13v?

Is it ok to connect my Ctek MXS 5.0 battery charger straight to my Defender 300tdi battery without disconnecting the +/- leads? Would it cause any issues?

I often load/unload my spare LR & caravan wheels in/out of my Defender, and want to keep the wheels clean.

Im after some tyre bags for storing some spare wheels/tyres, but I can't find any big enough to fit my 265/85/16 wheels. Does anyone here use them for their LR wheels?

I think the early 2007 tdci's suffered from gearbox issues, but maybe those affected have been sorted under warranty? Doesnt the tdci 110 Utility have cheaper road tax from a certain year onwards?

Not mine they didnt. I was going to stamp the number on a plate myself and bond it to the chassis. But decided I couldnt be bothered:rolleyes:

I didn't bother cus I like to live life on the edge. I left it at Richards Chassis who did the chassis swap. I trusted them to destroy it. I don't suppose your now driving around with it are you?:eek:

In relation to paperwork, absolutely none. I had the new chassis fitted and that was it. As long as the old chassis is destroyed then the new chassis takes on the identity of the old one. Although my new galv chassis doesn't have a number stamped on it. The important thing us that the old...

When I had mine changed I learnt it went on a point system. Major parts like axels, chassis etc were given points. As long as you didn't exceed the point system by changing too many parts then you were ok. A chassis change shouldn't effect anything.
