    fluids and filters

Mr Freedom, before you remove the drain plug from your axel, make sure the filler plug hasn't seized up. if you drain the fluid and then find you can't refill then you will be buggered. Check the filler plug first!!

    Mobilecentre remote battery connector

Fitted the battery connectors this morning, quite a simple job but needed to buy a 35mm step drill bit to drill the holes. Didn't bother fusing them...

    Mobilecentre remote battery connector

As lynall mentioned, there isn't much room in the battery box to run cables from the battery to a fuse holder, and then from the fuse holder to the front of the seat box.

    Mobilecentre remote battery connector

Ok, so I should fuse it, possibly with a mega fuse holder and 150amp fuse? Something like this?

    Mobilecentre remote battery connector

OK, so would it be a problem if I just wired up the connectors without any fuse, or is a fuse essential?

    Mobilecentre remote battery connector

Any recommendation for the sizing/rating of battery cable to connect these please? Thinking of mounting these to the drivers seat box as I park with the passenger side up against a wall. It would be handy to be able to open the drivers door and connect my Ctek battery charger to these whilst...

    Mobilecentre remote battery connector

Ive removed the Anderson connector that I fitted, my battery charger and jump pack get used with other batteries so I wanted to revert back to crock clips for ease. They specify these for jump starting. This is their blurb.... They arrived yesterday and are quite heavy units for their size...

    Mobilecentre remote battery connector

Yeh, I used to as well, but I find the standard connectors more useful when using my booster jump pack and Ctek charger with croc clips

    Mobilecentre remote battery connector

Ive just ordered one of these remote battery connectors for when I need to charge or jump my Defender battery. Planning on fitting them to the seat box somewhere, save me having to lift the seat base out each time. Anyone else got them fitted, and where?

    Rear seat catch part number?

Brilliant, thanks :) The catch is cheap at £6, but the bracket is about £25

    Rear seat catch part number?

The seat catch that retains the offside 2nd row seat in my Def 110 300tdi fell off today, the rivets appear to have sheared. I could just rivet it back in, but Id like to replace with new. Anyone know the part number for the catch, and also the bracket that its attached to please?

    Not seen these fuses before

True, they didn't even want the damaged fuse lid back, they quickly refunded me after i sent them a photo. Good service.

    Not seen these fuses before

Yes, but I mistakenly thought that part 1 was just a picture of the complete item, with the rest of the picture being an exploded diagram of its component parts. My fault. Thankfully the £16 fuse lid was delivered damaged and Devon 4x4 have refunded me.

Thats the one. But Jesus Christ, its £70 and nowhere has it in stock. Looks like I shall have to make something myself.

    Not seen these fuses before

Thanks, but sadly that is not the correct part (I didn't double check it!!). Looks like its a fuse box from a different Defender. That was an expensive mistake!! You can see the from this photo that cover is massive compared to my fuse box... lr So can anyone help with a part number for...
