    If the layshaft has snapped you might get lucky and get away with the 4 bolts and gear levers removed. If not the six bolts holding clutch release part need removing to get layshaft bolt loose.

    Sounds like the starter motor itself is burnt out best take it off and bench test it.Solenoid on diesel throws the drive gear forward and then closes a set of contacts to power the starter motor section. Did you get the new solenoid engaged correctly with the gear / contact thrower link?

    On mine Fuel lift pump front connection 11 from tank rear connection 10 to side of fuel filter. top of filter to fuel injection pump front connection 07 03 spill line tee to banjo on rear of fuel injection pump which also goes direct back to fuel tank

    The free wheel hub needs to engage fully. when it is if still thge same you have a broken front halfshaft but that is very rare.

    Check the box suffixes later series 3 suffix D primary pinion is not compatibkle with earlier ones. Suffix D box should have the bolts for te reverse gate on selector in horizontalplane where earlier versions are vertical pair.

    Bell housings on gearbox are different I believe so you need the donor one.

    Yes should be a snug fit , replacements have nylon cages originals had brass.

    One stud cannot be used due to starter being on opposite side , and one omitted on adapter on opposite side but cannot tell why. Rest look like they will fit fine though clearance for slave clutch cylinder looks tight.

    Sounds like you have been sent the wrong seal what was the Coreteco number should match this info in pic. The other seal in your pic is an old metal leather version
