    Series 3 Bloody Typical

Sometimes - old school nutter bastard is the only way forward. How many times have we all tried to fernagle a nut, bolt or sommat else from the clutches of our Landys... spent hours trying to be firm yet gentle, then the mist decends and you break out the big 'ammer' and **** off chisel.... or...

    Series 3 Bloody Typical

Just fitted new solly. Had to cross it to start it so the joys of earths n the spiders web of wiring now becomes my 'summer' project. Least the bugger starts - thats a major headache over for later in the week, who know I might even get chance to chase some dirty 'earth' - I think thats the...

Got some new solly's while out and about today. Just happened to be passing bearmach, so thought, why not. Got bitten by the shiny, shiny bug when in there mind - they'd had a full set of parabolics - still in the wrappings returned as an incorrect order and they just happened to stare at me in...

Should have realised the bugger'd taken the 'ump first thing when he needed a clip wiv me stick to start. Then at the...

LandyZone12....24th-26th June....Everything You Need To Know

My attendance is up in the air - SWMBO is a poll clerk and possibly a countist on the EU thingummy so will be knackered and Mulberry is slow, so it'd take me a month to get there n back. Then there's the slight lack of monetaries as we is having work done on the house following the discoverance...

Series 3 Exmoor rhino hood canvas

Pondered it then just waterproofed the old tilt instead. Saved about 170 quid. More dough for other bits.

Waterproofing a canvas tilt - the 'old way'

Mulberry only drinks finest LPG with a healthy drop of unleaded to tickle his whistle first thing. Diesel is the devils work, silly boy!

Waterproofing a canvas tilt - the 'old way'

Yeah... just got fed up of being dripped on when driving Mulberry. Did a chunk of research and came up with the above. No suppliers of beeswax locally in anything above 25g blocks for 3 quid so Amazon sorted that. Have since found a local bee place but yet to contact them.

Waterproofing a canvas tilt - the 'old way'

Turps sub only for less smell plus easier to get hold of. I understand the issues of open flame but was outside and was the easiest way to do it. Plus the need to rewarm periodically when it starts to solidify when being applied. I found just being gentle when stirring stopped any splashes...

Waterproofing a canvas tilt - the 'old way'

Right. Finished off waterproofing Mulberry's full tilt during the dry weather yesterday. Today, it's raining... that nasty wet drizzle that soaks you through. SUCCESS!! A dry interior so far. The recipe for those who are interested is as follows, also some tips based on my experiences. I...

Gathering the history of your Series

If you need any pointers - give us a shout - I did take photo's of the filled in form so I could post them up with my details scratched. Done a bit more research yesterday - 1974/5 was the time when the DLVA took over registering vehicles and local councils who'd previously carried out this...

Gathering the history of your Series

Just a few short notes if you like me are after some history of your Series. These are just odds n sods that I've learnt whilst researching mine. 1. Previous Keeper 2. DVLA V888 Form 3. Heritage Certificate from Gaydon 4. Google maps/searches 5. MOT History First stop - Previous Keeper...

Interesting day at Gaydon Motor Museum.

Got a similar thing on Mulberry - some of the searching I've done has turned up an earlier date than the V5 date of first reg, but its verily peculiar - not done via Gaydon but via the MOT history/DVLA websites and other odd websites I've happened across. Currently awaiting the outcome of a V888...
