Slide-out side steps, are they available?

Okay, you have me lost there, what on earth is a derrick? I have heard of Derrick's in oil drilling, is it the same thing? :D

    TD5 security problems

You have probably checked this already, but as you have replaced everything else under the hood for new, have you checked the wiring between the ECU and the other sensors? The early TD5's had big issues with the wiring. One big issue that people have experienced is oil leaking through the...

This is my first post so go easy on me

Hi, welcome to the forum :) What Landy do you have? If you have a problem with it, the best place is to to one of the specific subforums on here, lots of experience in the relevant forums :) Series Land Rovers - Land Rover Zone Defender 90 / 110 / 130 - Land Rover Zone Land Rover...

Slide-out side steps, are they available?

No, could get wiped out a little too easy with the rock sliders pushing it out too far. As bankz5152 said, would just be nice to have something that slide away out of sight, out of mind. Having the folding step at the rear is no problem, but on the sides it isn't really an option :)

Bye Bye A/F - Hello cheaper, better insurane :D

I second this, I have been with a host of insurers, I always end up coming back to NFU, they really are worth paying that tiny bit extra, especially if the worst happens and you actually need to make a claim. The reason for phoning (or going to a local branch - I would certainly recommend...

Slide-out side steps, are they available?

Okay, so my Defender was raised a tiny bit by the last owner (not a problem at all, gives me a better view over the walls at tourists bombing around corners in the middle of the road :D). Personally I have no problem getting in or out of the Landy (i'm a pretty tall lass), however everyone else...

    Aloha

Welcome to the forum :) Have you tried Autotrader? Kenlowe fan installation instructions for 200tdi

Okay, so checked out the fan last night, it definitely is a viscous fan, but that raises more questions :p The Viscous fan always spins, even when starting up from a cold engine. Now I thought the idea was that the viscous fan didn't spin when the oil inside was cold because the oil...

Mog & Daisy have arrived! :D (with pictures!)

Don't forget Mog the forgetful cat And all the other Mog books :D Talking of night time japes, I have a lot of fun freaking out tourists by lighting up my old oil lamps and walking slowly around the lake, gently swinging it. I want to get a period drama outfit to freak people out even more :D

Kenlowe fan installation instructions for 200tdi

Thanks all, some great advice there! I think i'll do what most of you recommend. Unless it is a really old Kenlowe (i'll check tomorrow :p) - If it's an old one, i'll leave it in and remove the viscous fan (although to be honest i'm not sure it is a viscous fan, i'll take pictures...

Mog & Daisy have arrived! :D (with pictures!)

I certainly don't intend to skimp, I need this to keep me going no matter what the weather. Yeah the clutch doesn't quite feel right at the moment and I can't find information of the last clutch replacement, so having it checked just to be safe, same with timing belt and oils and filters :)

Kenlowe fan installation instructions for 200tdi

So there is this Kenlowe fan installed (I use the term 'installed' quite lightly here) in the Defender I picked up. I noticed it wasn't working, and a blow-torch wouldn't even trigger the damn thing, after looking around and messing with switches in the cab, I worked out why, whoever had...
