How do I disable the alarm completely on a discovery 2? We leave the windows part down the majority of the time and the wind must be setting off internal sensors and sounding the alarm. I would like to completely disable the alarm system so I can still lock the doors and have the windows down...

Found two plastic rods today whilst rummaging around near the steering shaft. All I can describe them as is rubber tent pegs.... any ideas what they are and where they should be as at the moment they are just hanging around loosely. Many thanks in advance once again...

Sounds like it will be more trouble than it’s worth. Live with it and get on with it seems to be the way forward. It’s just annoying when trying to strap kids in or do anything in the back to be honest - I’m not the biggest of guys either! Many thanks for all the replies on this.

Hi Bobdog, That was my exact thinking- using front door stays. Might have a play about with the front ones and fit one of them to the back and if it works get some more from a scrappy. Cheers, James

Many thanks for your reply... makes perfect sense what you are saying but what a pain. If that flat bar was removed I suppose the door would be flapping all over the place presenting its own problems- just wondering if a bespoke bar could be made. Cheers James

So following my searches on the wheel nuts on a discovery 2 it seems that the covers only come off on the locking nuts using a special black plastic tool? Does this mean that I will need two different size sockets or does the locking nut compensate for the difference between the locking nut...

Evening all, Just a quick one.... can the door hinges be adjusted to allow doors to open further. The front door on my disco 2 opens almost to a 90 degree angle which is fab. The rear doors do not open as far and can be really annoying when sorting the kids etc. Many thanks in advance. James
