    Series 3 Snail heater blower

If the bearing/bush's have gone dry they tend to stick or only run at full power, much the same as wiper motors which only go at one speed no matter where the switch is.

    LT95 mainshaft wear

On recent series box fix up [ lost reverse] the grumbling input bearing was the only one I replaced in the box. Release bearing also replaced, may as well when in there.

    LT95 mainshaft wear

I have a mate that works on stuff but unless it is 100% perfect it wont do, trouble is he takes forever to get things done and that is if he gets them finished at all. I know in the aircraft world it has to be so, as you can not just pull over and stop if it goes wrong. On the ground good...

Check your actual engine temp with a IR temp reader to ensure you are not actually cooking your engine.

    LT95 mainshaft wear

I am no expert on gearbox's but have done a few gear Series box's and fixed up a number of shafts/bearings on farm implements. Going by the look there is nothing terrible with shaft or gear in pics. If it has no wobble on the shaft and teeth are good I would reuse. Any engineering places about...

    Best alternator for 110 2.5D n/a

You have the correct one for year. Lucas or Lucas type. Plug to alt will have two large spades to deliver power and a small one that takes "exciter" 12v power to the alternator. Putting a more powerful unit on will not help. Something is draining the battery. Disconnect for the time you are not...

Series 2a cutting out on incline

My 2a petrol would cut out going up the steep lane from the farm if fuel was low. Answer was to reverse up to the top of the hill, After that I knew I still had enough fuel to make it to the petrol station.:D

    Land Rover 90 rear door

If you are not planning on having a spare wheel on the back door then 2 hinges will be fine. [ early 90 usually refers to 84/85 models.

    Land Rover 90 rear door

My 1990 truck has 3 hinges, pretty sure a 1988 model would be the same. 2 hinge doors are for Series.

    Armstrong dampers available?

Rang a local parts chap and he had a some Armstrong rears on the shelf. Last ones he said and seems like Armstrong dropping out of the Landy stuff. A few quid dearer but had them this morning which is good as had snapped a rod on old one playing on some lumpy ground the other day. :) They were...

    Kenlow wiring mess

I see a heap of those horrible Scotch block connectors too. Second @Kissamyaura comment above. As for wire size just look at wires into fan and use the same. Fine to go for drive if temp gauge works. An IR temp reader is handy to check radiator/engine thermostat are doing their thing.

    Kenlow wiring mess

Oh man, that is some birds nest. And your fan would Not come on with the Kenlow thermostat until the engine is warm. With engine warmed to normal running temp fan should come on at stats lowest setting.

    Armstrong dampers available?

Need a set of standard Armstrong dampers/shocks for my Ninety. Can not seem to find them for sale in most the usual 4x4 parts sites for some reason. Have they stopped making them? See they still produce lever arm for classic cars.
