I never got as far as replacing the leaking fuel hose on my D2. A guy knocked on the door asking if it was for sale, so i put it through an mot, it passed, so i sold the car and gave him the new pipes to put on himself.

Or some garden hose. That's what the Disco 2 boys suggest slipping over the fuel lines that go from the fuel tank to the filter and engine bay that sit on top of the fuel tank and wear themselves through.

Modern cars are great and all that, but you can't beat a good old fashioned pressure guage!

Last time i saw an engine bay like that was after changing my oil and filter at work on YFO and when i got home, about ten miles later noticed some wiffs of smoke from under the bonnet. i opened it and found the bay covered in oil because i'd left the filler cap on top of something in the bay...
