I’d reinstate the original injector and ensure the engine is fully serviced. But ultimately you won’t get around it being a 30+ year old diesel. It will never be a euro4+ engine.

The previous owner of my 90 used to run it on biodiesel. It’s still got the sticker in the offside wing for it! It’s not something I’ve carried on with. In the 10 years since I’ve had the 90, veg oil has shot up in price, due initially due to demand and retailers wising up to its use as a fuel...

I’ve got a Brownchurch galvanised roofrack on my 90 which will take marine ply well. I’m sure yours can do the same.

Take it into your local engineering suppliers. I’m sure they’ll match it and it’ll be cheaper than from JLR.

This would not be harassment. A police force would not record or investigate it as such. However, it could be dealt with as a complaint. That in itself would be a separate matter to the section 59 but the issuing of the warning would be looked into as part of the complaint.
