    Re-shaping Lightweight back bumper/steps

    Is this a confession?

    Re-shaping Lightweight back bumper/steps

Doh. Why didn't I think if that? Yes, that curve puzzled me, still can't see why it's there since it's about the only curve on a Lightweight other than the bonnet. Thanks!

    2.25 petrol rough idle

I think you'd be looking at three, maybe four teeth for twenty degrees, but why not have a look at the valves for #4 at tdc on #1. See how far it is either side for them to start moving.

    2.25 petrol rough idle

I can't buy into the camshaft timing being 30 degrees wrong - it probably wouldn't run and I'm pretty sure you'd be clashing valves and pistons. Distrib shaft wrong assembly, maybe, but that, like the crankshaft, isn't really going to get worse. Have you checked the entire fuel line for...

Second Row Door locks and Keeps- Fitting

A quick google look at 109 hinges - the fronts 'look' a little longer than the second row? May be a illusion but it's very good explanation!

    Re-shaping Lightweight back bumper/steps

I think front left is the closest, guessing that the reinforcing rib would have been at a right angle to the joining surfaces, but if anyone had a picture confirming that I'd be pleased. I assume that the surface facing backwards (in the bottom here) should be fla? Ear defenders and a large...

Metal buried in tyre carcass ?

Quite early on in my LR 'journey' I had a couple of punctures on my 110. Then on the SIII. I checked and checked. Still got them. Turned out that rust powder was getting under the edges of the various stickers inside the tyre. Had the rims all blasted, took any stickers out. No more punctures...

    New chassis paint or not

There isn't anyone who knows more about keeping metal intact in seawater than MG Duff. They started Zinga, and I used their Tarfree after T-Wash. It's a single pack PU and very tough. I then put on several coats of Zinga. Then a couple of satin black Tractor paint from Vapormatic. Five years on...

Electric Steering Pump - Swap NTC8287

May not be so easy where the op is

Rear spring stuck in upper seat

If you're committed to it, cut off as much as you need to get good access with levers and percussion instruments.

Electric Steering Pump - Swap NTC8287

I'd go for an electric column with its ECU from more or less any scrapper. They do tend to show a fault and quit at 10 years + leaving you heavy steering, but two that I've had just needed slightly dodgy grease replaced in the sensor.

Anyone got a totally original Series Vehicle ?

My chassis new, the rest I'm fairly sure is original.

Possible blown head gasket. What next?

DOH, I had it zoomed a bit and thought the labour was a mistaken total. Apologies.

Possible blown head gasket. What next?

If it's just those two pages they've got their sums wrong. The nett total is £648.25

TD5 90 2006, loss of drive. No gears work.

Did it feel a bit odd/lump as you got it crawling? I had a bearing fall apart in the transfer box and it went from occasionally losing drive to completely in about ten gentle miles.

    What's this noise?

My best guess would be the UJs. Since it's extreme steering though - a CV joint?
