    Watts linkage

I did mine with some help from the local garage pressing the new ones in - see this fred. I'd go with OEM parts too.

    Which Waxoyl gun?

It dries quite hard - it's completely dry to the touch and doesn't smear or smudge, you can just about dig your thumbnail in the thicker bits.

What have you done to your Landie today.

Well it was last weekend really but I didn't get round to posting about it as I was too busy washing underseal off myself, but I have pretty much finished Hammeriting and Shultzerising the underneath of my disco. See this fred for a couple of pictures

    Which Waxoyl gun?

Finally got round to finishing this last weekend. No need to warm anything up as it was blazing hot and about 27 degrees. All scraped, wire brushed, Hammerited and Shultzerised. Just need to do the inside of the chassis etc. with Waxoyl now.

    Running hot

I'd check to make sure the system is fully bled first. Might also be be worth checking the thermostat. Hope yours is just one of these. Top hose pressurising and becoming rock solid and the heater blowing cold are all bad signs.

Thanks Gemsdad - I cleaned up the caliper and the sliding pins. Might need to check the piston a bit more thoroughly though

What have you done to your Landie today.

Fitted new rear brake pads. One pad was worn more than the other three, it was nearly down to the metal!

    Which brake pads to get?

Thanks Freelaner, as the Europarts are only slightly cheaper than the originals I'll go with the LR ones, thanks also for the link to the discovery2 site, I'd forgotten how useful that site is.

    Which brake pads to get?

Thanks Hoopfish, don't get to do pay and play, mostly towing trailers with the odd venture on to a field. Will probably go with the original LR ones at £35.

    Which brake pads to get?

I contacted my local indy LR specialist and they will supply genuine LR rear pads for around £35 instead of the £68 + vat some firms want. Hopefully it will be dry at the weekend so I can fit them without getting a soaking.

    Which brake pads to get?

Thanks Barmatt - on the LR parts site (see the link in my post above) they range from £11 - £68 per set! There's three different types around £25 and EBC pads on LR Series are £35. £68 is OTT but which of the ones between £25 and £35 are the best?

    Which brake pads to get?

As the title says - which make or brand of rear brake pads should I get? There's a big variety on the half dozen or so sites I've looked on and a search on here hasn't thrown anything up. My annual mileage is quite low but I do tow a 2 - 3 tonne trailer on a regular basis, not much off...

    clarify towing grammar

The it refers to the trailer and any load in the trailer (grammatically the it refers back to the previous piece of text "a trailer over 750kg MAM".) With a post 1997 cat B licence, if your Disco weighs 2 tonnes you can tow a trailer weighing up to 1.49 tonnes including its load.

    Td5 cruise control

I bought one from a breakers and fitted it. Quite straightforward but follow the Rave instructions on removing the airbag properly. You need the dashboard switch, the steering wheel switch and mounting bracket. You will also need to cut the hole for the steering wheel switch - it's just the...
