Tricky electrickery on the old pig

I’ve got this at the switch so tried it in both pin 3 and 4. Doesn’t seem to activate MFU and then I’ll struggle to follow the sequence as the rear fog seems to do nothing either. I’ve plugged in MFU from my other disco and as far as I can remember windows, wipers etc all worked fine before I...

Tricky electrickery on the old pig

Very confusing. Got live at the fog and rear heater switch but neither seem to do anything so I can’t do an MFU test, even though I’ve swapped from my other. The alarm box isn’t present - it’s just had some wires joined etc. I plugged another alarm box in and all it did was illuminate...

Tricky electrickery on the old pig

Thanks - I was thinking along same lines and have printed out a sheet with the different connector blocks on those circuits, all the relays and all the earth points and blocks. There’s actually a fair few 😂😂🤦‍♂️. I actually hoped swapping that MFU would cure it but not so lucky!! It’s funny, you...

Any ideas @discool @sierrafery @Hicap phill ? Checked all fused yest, have printed all earth points for the above equipment off. Just seems weird that they all play up 🤔

Everything is pointing to MFU but can’t diagnose as the rear heater switch don’t click/work.

Tricky electrickery on the old pig

Hi all, got some very odd electrical gremlins on the 300 tdi D1. I think I’m going to book the auto electrician for a visit. On starting, the wipers would jolt - other than that they won’t run. The passenger window was opening on start up. After driving it for a while I then couldn’t get it...

A pillar! Yeah and isolate where I pour it I guess! The bloody track of the water is hidden between the pressed seam. I still need to puraflex the top of windscreen which may be culprit - who knows. Weird that it’s drivers only that suffers with it. So close to it being dry! 😂

I have one last little leak to sort and can’t for the life of me work out where it’s getting in!! It comes out of the bottom of the b pillar, on the inside, where the door seal goes. Literally drips from the bottom of the double skinned bit. I’ve done a fair bit of tidying up seals etc but I...

This is genius. The egr coolant sensor in the head was naturally unplugged. Previous owner turned it into a tippex pot and pen to mark the headbolt torque angles. This is a good sign I think as HG will have been done, hopefully as preventative. In other news, I got a sender adapter for the oil...

👌 didn’t know they came on later ones?! I got them from a Range Rover classic and swapped the lumber adjuster to the other side to fit it

    Try again….

Collapsed bolster sorted out I then re scrimmed the leather that sat on bolster and repaired as much damage as I could. After that it was the long process of re- colour. This was done with binder, air brush colour then a sealer to keep it all locked in. I just need to condition it now.
