Well they have checked the entire wiring loom in the center consul and it’s all ok And after showing them this thread they have tested and checked the multi core gear box plug all check out ok I thinking I may need to take this to a LR specialist now Any more ideas guys I’m dreading the bill

Thanks Phil I’m going to take my pad down the garage tomorrow and show them this Popped in today and the whole center console is out! So they maybe looking the wrong end for the fault Paul

Unfortunately I know nothing about 12v electrics Happy doing the simple stuff brakes servicing etc but I wouldn’t know one of a tester from the other mate It’s in the garage now so hoping they can find it Does anyone have the gearbox wiring diagram they could share?

Just Called aa out when I got home from work He got in it and it started first time He said he thinks it’s a wiring harness to gear stick assembly issue and the wires are breaking down when cool, car sits in sun all day and warms up making a circuit Got it back to garage and they going to start...

Hi all I've held off posting until I was absolutely sure it was cured. Basically over a week now and all is fine So it was the battery in the end and my **** poor attempt and putting it in, garage got the terminals properly tight Cleared the codes and now all seems to be good So fingers...

Ps if when gearbox service was carried out and not filled correctly would it throw this fault up?.

Another update Hi all Usual codes this morning and then wouldn't start, lots of foul language I done a hard reset disconneted both terminals waited half hour touched together then reattached, on doing so I realised the terminals didn't tighten up enough and they moved around, some tin foil...

Hi Saint Thanks for the in depth reply I do realy appreciate it as this is driving me bonkers trying to work it out I have a brand new battery fully charged to 13.7 volts, I'm still to check my alternator output as multimeter is on my boat ( I'll get it tomorrow and take a reading) Checking...
