I fitted a rear door wheel carrier to my bonnet 12 years ago, its still there doing the job, I used some angle iron under it to strengthen it up a bit but its been fine.

I dont think it would charge your battery quicker, A 120 amp alternator wont actually put out 120 amps all the time.

I dont know to be honest, its a breather pipe, to vent crank case pressure, redirecting it to the crank case kind of isnt what you would want a crank case vent that vents crank case pressure to do.

Oil leakage? It shouldn't be leaking? You mean oil into the filter housing? Do you have a pic of the engine? There are two types of crank case breather for this engine, the latter one is a little better than its predecessor.

Ive noticed with the engine running the vacuum keeps it in place, so I sealed it up and it seems good, but I still need to order a new one, anyone know the part number? I havent looked yet cos Im lazy!!

Mine is a white valve that plugs into the servo body, looks to be held in with a rubber grommet, it leaks, not the valve, the rubber grommet, is this replaceable or is it a new servo time? I believe its a type 80 servo, valve top left. 1985 90.
