seem to recall a thread on here a long time ago with the same issue ,infact if i'm not mistaken it was on you tube, anyhows it was to do with the crank case filter ,if i'm wrong i stand corrected :)

check the inlet turbo rubbers for any splits or loose on jubilee clips ,this is a very common fault and easy to repair. . . .just buy new rubber hoses don't try and repair them or tape as nothing will stick to them . . . .:)

Hmm a reet problim :confused: i have driven the rear window down with a 12v small battery by connecting the window motor cables on rhs looking in [cable harness] if it try's to go up just reverse the polarity , well thats the first bit done, then you have to power the door realaese bit the...

also the tippex test is only a crude method but it doe's work. . . . . .fink bell engineering is getting all smarty pants and i agree wiff floppy its just for trade . . . .most people on here are not going to whip off the vcu and stick it in a vice , so the info in this forum is best for purpose :(

stick to OEM and change the fuel filter at same time. . . . .

Ming Tip. . . . . .when you pull spanner down [on tensioner] to put new belt on . . . . .get some large mole grips to hold spanner in tension by griping on sub frame to hold spanner in position, so you can slip belt over last bit . . . . .makes it so much easy er . . . . . . . :)
