    well what an utter **** it was to get the turbo separated. Sheared off 3 of the 4 bolts holding it together... going to be ace drilling those out. Also discovered that the turbo cartridge oil feed pipework connection is different... doh... Its got the more standard 2 little m8 bolts holding it...

    now now, this rebuild is just temporary, I want a VNT or a hybrid. Just want to get it usable again, the wifes driving it at the mo and people keep moaning about the amount of smoke its putting out (lots)

    yup - from turbotechnics cheapest rebuilt 200tdi turbo on tinterweb I could find was £600!

    yeah that's been replaced.Its not a "no boost problem" The impellor shaft is quite stiff to turn (it shouldn't be) Its fooked!

    aye' I replaced them with 5 ply silicone ones too...ready for an upgrade ;) The noise being emitted isn't a "im a flappy hose with a split" its more a "my thrust bearing is proper fooked" noise not helped by me having up the boost.... quite a bit.... ahem.

    Well the 130 is very poorly, its blowing out thick smoke like a tank and is dog slow. Suspect - the turbo is shagged. Theres no increase breathing from the inside of the crankcase (it seems anyway) and the turbos making a right old wheezing noise. Its also a bit tight to spin, so.... its my...

    Im flogging the rx8 seats that I had installed in my 130. They are leather and heated, and come with custom made backets so they literally bolts straight into the existing mounting points with no mucking about. Ive never managed to get the drivers seat moving back and forth (its electric)...

    They are blooming brilliant cars. We had been considering selling it, but its just so good! and fixable.... watts linkage pivot arrived today, so will replace that at the weekend. As its got a leaking FPR, would this constitute an mot failure? or just an advisory? It dribbles a teeny weeny...

    Well having had the 3 amigo on since i bought it, a change of the rear abs sensor has since sorted it. Id been putting it off, thinking it was gong to be harder than it really was. 20 minutes though and the job was done. I could well imagine it would be more fiddly if everything as seized up...
